Good evening all.  Just stopping by to start the NW because I am on my way to the Rangers game.

Prayer requests are listed below.

Also, please feel free to just visit here.  Tell us about how your day went.  Your successes.  Your failures.  Your fun.  Whatever.  When I post this thread, I do not have access to any chat programs, so this sometimes substitute as that vessel for me.

Continue to keep your thoughts and prayers for the members of our Armed Forces serving around the world, especially during this time of increased awareness.  Please thank God for these men and women every day.  In addition, please keep the wives and family members in your thoughts.

Evenin' George....
Hope you had a good time at the game.  It was a pretty good day here...another good weather day without any rain!  Paul got here but it was late.  Bad weather in Atlanta delayed him a couple hours so he didn't get in until after midnight.  Needless to say, he's already snoozin'!  He brought home a bag of pretzels straight from Philly along with another bag of hoagies and cheesesteaks.  Only bad thing was he put them in the overhead and since people are not wanting to pay that $15 luggage fee, or, don't want to pay for a second bag, they load down their carry-on luggage and someone jammed a huge bag on top of his and a few of them are now kinda looking like a flattened pannini instead of a hoagie!!!  hehehe!  Still....they smelled really good!

My sister isn't feeling too hot...has a sinus infection and sounds awful!  It really has settled in her throat so she has laryngitis pretty bad.  She said her poor face feels like it is going to explode.  UGH!  Been there, done that lots of times so I know exactly how she feels.

Guess I'd best get moving.  Paul has to be at the eye doctor at noon.  My glasses will have to be mailed down to me as the lab that was supposed to make my glasses had the lenses cut but they never arrived apparently getting lost in the mail so they just cut a new set of lenses so probably another week before they get put together and mailed to the place where I ordered them from.  No biggy....I still have my regular ones - this new pair has the progressive bifocals blended in the glass so I'll get them whenever.  If Paul has to get new ones as well, I've already told the lady at our optical place to just hold mine and send them both together.  We'll find out though in about 12 hours!

TTYL.....

Yep, had about 3" worth of one of those soft pretzels!  OMG, thank goodness I cannot have too much of that because I'd eat WAAAAY too many.  He brought home like 25 of them!!!  The girls love them!  The hoagies and cheesesteaks smelled unbelievable.  The hoagies were unreal....they are a simple sandwich of a few Italian meats and provolone cheese with chopped/shredded lettuce and thinly sliced tomatoes on like a 7" roll and those little suckers were all of $1.50 each!  Beats a Subway sandwich ANY day!!!

Yeah, that carry-on luggage thing is a bunch of crap.  What ****** me off is these planes load from back to front (logically) which is fine, but people who have seats in the back should keep their carry on stuff near them.  I cannot tell you how many times I've seen someone chuck their bag into an overhead bin near the front of the plane so when they get off, they can just grab it right before they get off.  Well terrific, but if your seat is near the front of the plane, by the time you get on, the overhead bins around your area is full!  WTF???  That irks me!!!!!!  With these luggage fees which is ridiculous anyway, now with a couple airlines actually going up from $15 to $20, people are definitely going to do what they can to avoid those fees.
