The NIGH****CHMAN - Wednesday - 7/29

Good evening all.   Gonna be a long day.  Got up at 7 AM to go watch the grandkids while Oleta went to visit her mom and Mary went to have blood drawn.  We supplied the doc with the list of all the tests we wanted, and they are doing them.

I am working both jobs tonight, but tomorrow, I can sleep until about 4 if I want to.  Then I will get up and go to the Rangers game.  Have to be to full time job at 2AM.

Oleta's mother is in the transition unit right now.  They had a meeting with Oleta today.  She is being taken off of the antibiotics today.  They want to see how she does through the weekend before possibly releasing her Monday or so.  Hospice will set up at the house at that time.

Not much else here.

Prayer requests are listed below.

Also, please feel free to just visit here.  Tell us about how your day went.  Your successes.  Your failures.  Your fun.  Whatever.  When I post this thread, I do not have access to any chat programs, so this sometimes substitute as that vessel for me.

Continue to keep your thoughts and prayers for the members of our Armed Forces serving around the world, especially during this time of increased awareness.  Please thank God for these men and women every day.  In addition, please keep the wives and family members in your thoughts.

Hi George;

Sounds like you're in for a long day today. Sending you lots of energy to get through the night.

Today was a low key day. I returned a call this morning to schedule an interview for Friday morning in Dallas. There weren't any new job prospects today. I met up with one of my former colleagues for lunch. It was nice to have a reason to get dressed up, straighten my hair and get out of the house. When I got home, I did a few loads of laundry, cleaned up the house a little bit to prepare for leaving tomorrow afternoon, packed one more box and put aside more stuff for Goodwill.

Tonight I realized that the downstairs DVR was running out of room because I've been recording a lot of stuff but no****ching it. I'm in the process of clearing off as much as I can tonight. I've watched three episodes of Wipeout and I'm on my third episode of What Not to Wear. When this one is over, I'm going to bed, but have to get up at 2am for my last antibiotic. I'll be thrilled to not have to get up in the middle of the night tomorrow night.

I'll check in again before bed. Have a great night and get some rest tomorrow. Prayers for all who need them.
Blessings, Jennifer

Thanks for stopping by, it has been rather lonely here.  Appreciate you so much.  Enjoy reading of your daily adventures in the seeking employment area.  Can't wait until you no longer have to report on that.

I think it's just summer time and everyone is off doing their summertime things, therefore less activity overall on the board.

Thanks for letting me use the thread as a place to recap my day. I never feel like I accomplish enough so it gives me a place to collect my thoughts and realize that I did something.
Blessings, Jennifer

Evening George,

DD & I rolled in around 7:30 pm tonight, I've spent the last couple of hours weeding through email and trying to catch up on TMB.  We had a great visit with Mom, it was good to get away from everything for a week, no cell, no internet.  My cell service cuts off about 30 miles from where she lives (lovely AT&T more bars my hinney, know where they can rent some land to put up a tower!)  Her phone service is still on the old rotary dial system, and my brother can't talk her into any kind of internet service, since computers are evil, so I don't even bother to pack the laptop any more!  I had a couple of melt downs with my feelings of inadequacy, since I was the child that moved 600 miles away to make it on my own.  Now it's time to pick my self up, brush off the dust and get down to business of finding a job.  Had a dream last night that I found the perfect job, so I'm taking that as an omen, that the right one is out there ready and waiting for me.

Prayers tonight for all of the spoken and unspoken requests.  Special prayers for those needing healing tonight for whatever reason, special prayers for those seeking employment.  As always special healing prayers for our kids.  Elizabeth Grace, precious girl, you have remained in my prayers while I was gone, and my prayers still are going out to you and your family and friends

Blessings to all

You have a good attitude.  Hit 'em hard.  Learn from Jennifer.  She may not have a job yet, but she hasn't stopped looking.
