Friday WLS Express
Today for me is Trains (this one), Planes (the one HOME) and Automobiles (got talked into helping with a race tonight)! My life is a movie today!!
I am so beyond ready to spend more than 36 hours at home it is unbelievable. Of course, by day 4 we'll both be ready for me to hit the road again! LOL
Ms. Gina - I hope you have a fabulous birthday and get plenty of pampering.
Nothing much going on here except handing off projects that need to be wrapped up when people get info to the right people. Heading out at 11:30EDT to go by apartment complex, drop off keys and then I'll be on my merry way to PHL International for the trip home.
Arrive 5:30'ish, run by the house, change clothes, head to the racetrack and help out with the Young Guns of Texas series. This is a program for kids ages 12-15 in "mini" stock cars. They are a great group of kids to work with and the series coordinator treats it like any school sport - no pass, no play and these kids are so respectful to all involved. King and I often "adopt" a Young Gun to help defray the cost of gas, entry fees, etc., especially those youngster who come from a broken home where money is tight. I wish we could do more and we will once King decides to finally retire from racing himself. Already have our eye on the one we want to adopt full time - he's a great kid and a good racer, with potential to move on to bigger, better cars. Just hope King retires soon enough we can help him before he gets too old for the Young Guns.
Gotta jet - project hand off time ... hope to see some of you this weekend. I've got a FREE Sunday!! YEA!!
Good morning Train Riders!!! Happy Birthday GINA!!!!! Hope you have something special and fun planned for today.
We went over to Jeff's parent's last night for dinner and to visit with some family that's in town. It was nice getting to talk to them some, the last time we saw them was at our wedding and to be honest I was a little to preoccupied to get to know them. Jeff's Dad pulled out a slide projector and screen and we took a stroll down memory lane. The slide projector has seen better days though, it was so loud we all thought it was either going to take flight or blow up. Luckily neither happened. Tonight we're going back over there to have dinner again and spend some more time visiting before they leave town.
Jeff went to the careerbuilder job fair yesterday and it was pretty much a bust for him. Only one company would even take his resume. Ugh, he's got to find some Tech job fairs, these generic ones are really more for sales and marketing. He's doing on online web conference about computer forensics today, hopefully that will give him some useful information for the future.
Hope everyone has a fantastic day!

Good morning all!! I just answered the posts on the birthday thread CORINA started (caught me totally by surprise-thanks, Corina!), and now I see so many HERE too....I'm sitting here crying...."The people in my house" are not good at this stuff..they usually just wind up ignoring dates and hurting my feelings, (you'd think I'd be used to it by now) but Y'ALL never forget...I'm just blown away...I have to get out the door soon, and I don't have time for indidvidual responses here, on the train right now, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE know how much I appreciate the time and effort you spent to post a birthday wish!!!
I have a self scheduled massage planned in an hour. going to try to run by the DMV afterward. I renewed my license online a month ago, but never rec'd anything-going to go see "a face" and see what to do next. Afterwards, going to meet some girl peeps for fun and lunch, then think there is a "surprise" family dinner tonight that Corbin is planning.
Busy day, so guess I'd better go mow my legs...
I LOVE Y'ALL AND THERE's NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT!!!!

We Can Do Hard Things
Hope you have a great weekend. Have already happy birthday'd Gina on another post so I have a question to post here. See if anyone has suggestions
First I know that my eating and drinking haven't been up to par so that may be the reason for my troubles. I am up about 5 lbs.. to non WLS people that is not a big deal.. for me.. well it is. I am weighing more right now than I have in two years.
I packed my lunch and daily snack stuff today trying to pay closer attention to the calories and all.
I have been having issues of being so tired one day that I can barely stay away through the day but then the next day I will be wide awake and just have a hard time going to bed at a decent time.
I know we have a lot of people here that have sleeping issues but I don't normally have that problem. I have had my levels checked recently and those are good. Maybe I just need more sunshine?
