Well the strike has ended !!! Thank GOD for that. Man this has been a long run !!!! We took some cuts but that is OK....at least they have their jobs to go back to.

My thoughts exactly Lynne !!!! Our healthcare is NOT going to be as good as what we have had in the past.....but heck...at least we have healthcare. And since they didn't accept the original contract....the sign on bonus went down....but I guess that is OK too. LOL At least they still have a job to go back to.

Thanks so much Deborah....I am happy about it too. My baby boy starts to college in 1 month and we have books to buy and college tuition to pay and trust me....it wasn't going to happen with $200 a week coming in. LOL I knew that God would see us through it though.

Thanks so much Cindy. Unless someone has gone through this and is a "l" income family....they can't imagine what we have been through. It has been tough especially when this all happened I was spending money on new flooring that I had to get replaced due to my house flooding. UGH !!! Bad timing !!! But hey...we did get lots of "honey-do" things done while my hubby was off work...although HE didn't do them though. LOL Thanks for the prayers. You can't imagine how much we appreciate them.

Vivian I can so relate with you. We are a 1 family income and my husband works for Halliburton and so many of those guys have been laid off. My husband was working on a job that got finished and he was home for six weeks before he went on his new job. He works out in the Gulf of Mexico and drilling had slowed down out there quiet a bit for awhile. It looks like it is picking back up and thank goodness for us he does get paid when he is home; but more when he is out. Now the thing we have to hope for or should I say hope that doesn't happen is Hurricanes. That could shut them down and send them in.
We do get lots of Honey do's done when he is home or that is when he is not building something for someone else. (He builds rent houses when he is home for my dad)
We to have a daughter going to collage so I for sure understand that whole money thing when it comes to that; but in the end we know that is all for the good; but it is a sinking feeling when your spouse is not working and you wonder how in the world you are gonna pay for that.
We say our prayers everyday that he has a job as many others do not.
Again I'm so happy there was a end to the strike and hopefully you all can get back on track.
My prayers go out to those that are without a job and I pray for them to find something soon,
Tell your son good luck with his schooling.
