The NIGH****CHMAN - Wednesday 7/22
Hope all you people with school aged kids are getting some of that shopping done with the great prices being offered on some things. Walgreens has the stick pens for 19 cents for a 10 pack of Papermate. Limit 6. Mary went in twice, we use them at my part time job. Gel pens are $1 for a two pack, but you get a $1 credit to use on your next purchase. Good deal. Free. She got me 4 packs.
Not much else going on in my world. Looking forward to the ball game tonight. I will be listening on the radio at work.
Prayer requests are listed below.
Also, please feel free to just visit here. Tell us about how your day went. Your successes. Your failures. Your fun. Whatever. When I post this thread, I do not have access to any chat programs, so this sometimes substitute as that vessel for me.
Continue to keep your thoughts and prayers for the members of our Armed Forces serving around the world, especially during this time of increased awareness. Please thank God for these men and women every day. In addition, please keep the wives and family members in your thoughts.

Sorry I missed last night. I completely got out of my routine and forgot to check in. I remembered when I woke up this morning.
Yesterday was a busy day of applying for jobs (10), scheduling one interview, registering for another job fair and then I reorganized the upstairs linen closet, the coat closet and the pantry. I didn't finish all of that until nearly 8pm.
Today, I've only found 2 jobs worthy of applying for, so I did that this morning. Then my mom came by late morning. She's been storing quite a bit of stuff here and I need her to find it a new home. We went through everything and she added about 1/2 of it to my next Goodwill run. She and I went and grabbed a quick lunch and came back and weeded the back yard. We finished just before 4, I made a mad dash for Sonic for a 1/2 price diet ocean water, came back, showered, dressed and promptly fell asleep on the sofa. For nearly 3 hours. I've been having trouble sleeping this week, so my body must've finally decided it needed it.
I'll be around on and off tonight. Prayers for all who need them.

I know what you mean about low on priorities with your mom. My mother lives in upstate NY. She and her boyfriend drive to North Carolina, Tennessee and who knows where else, but I live too far away for her to come see. I guess she has her limits. I saw her in 2007. The last time before that was 1992.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
Sorry. I'm having a wallow of a night. The uncertainty is weighing heavily on me tonight.

I'm dropping in tonight to ask for positive thoughts for an anonymous member of our TMB family. This person is struggling emotionally and I don't know how to help.
Regardless of who in our WLS family you see this week and in the coming weeks, please give them a hug and show some love .... we all have our friends and groups that get together and maybe sometimes we all need to step back and appreciate each other for who we are and how far we've come and celebrate every day, not just those special days when someone makes it to goal or hits that next smaller size clothes. Everyone deserves to feel special every day, not just when we've achieved something special.
Beauty doesn't make a person beautiful. It takes something on the inside to get the whole package!
My friend, and you know who you are, if you read this .... I love you and think you are perfect just the way you are. Let's do something this weekend! I said I wasn't getting out of bed Sunday, but I will make an exception for you - let's do something.
I love you.
