Good evening all.  Gonna be a long night.  Went to bed at 7:30, got up at noon.  Woke up 2 minutes before my alarm was set to go off.

Took my nephew out to lunch before getting him to the airport.

Not much else going on.  Looking forward to listening to the Rangers game.

Prayer requests are listed below.

Also, please feel free to just visit here.  Tell us about how your day went.  Your successes.  Your failures.  Your fun.  Whatever.  When I post this thread, I do not have access to any chat programs, so this sometimes substitute as that vessel for me.

Continue to keep your thoughts and prayers for the members of our Armed Forces serving around the world, especially during this time of increased awareness.  Please thank God for these men and women every day.  In addition, please keep the wives and family members in your thoughts.

PEOPLE SEEKING EMPLOYMENT:

Those who are not yet unemployed, but layoffs are looming

Jenn Ewald asks prayers that her financial situation improves so she does not lose her house.

Just_Me has requested prayer for Gina A who lost her step mother suddenly.  In addition, her grandmother is in a nursing home and not doing well.

Karen (Misty750342002) - A friend of Karen's from work (who is like a son to her), Dustin Murphy, is 24 years old and has been diagnosed with Hodgkins Disease.  He has completed chemo and is starting radiation treatment.

Lalocaweta asks for prayers for her spouse as he seeks employment elsewhere since his company appears to be closing it's doors.  Also she is seeking part time employment.

Lindaybarnett  requests prayer for her 87 year old mother.  She is in ICU.  Fluid in her lungs and around her heart and  heart enzymes are too high.  She is in Atlanta.

Meggie - friend Nancy is in assisted living home and is on her last days.  Pray for Meggie's family also as they try to fight through this.

Vanessa (ButterflyReborn) asks for prayers for her family.

Vicki V.  - husband Patrick has Ataxia and Neuropathy of the left side.  Which basically means he has virtually no feeling in his left leg and foot. Experiencing fatigue.

Below are two of God's children that definitely need our prayers.  These are two specific cases, we know there are others out there.  Remember them too.

Gina J. - Pray for her 6 year old Marina, diagnosed with a terminal illness at age 2. She has improved, but still needs our prayers.  Pray for this brave little girl.

Vanessa - We have all followed the story of Elizabeth.  Here is her Caringbridge page:

George would you please add my mother to the prayer list.  She was admitted to the hospital through the emergency room Sunday evening.  Today around noon she was taken to ICU.  She has a lot of fluid in her lungs and around her heart.  Her blood work shows that the heart enzymes are too high.  She is on oxygen and is able to breathe in enough oxygen but unable to breathe out with enough force to rid her body of the C O2.  Her heart is able to beat but is stiff and not able to completely relax between contractions.  I don't know what all this means I have had little info from the medicos.  she is in Atlanta so I am not there to question closely.  I am probably going to fly to Atlanta in the next day or so and will know more then.  My sister (with whom my mothr lives) is with her and trying to keep me posted.  My mother is 87 years old.  Her name is Viola Yeager.  I appreciate any and all prayers.

Thank you

Evening George, two more days and my sis has her surgery.  I talked to her a bit ago, she had to be in Houston today for pre-op test and she's really freaking out.  She was told today that she would be intubated and completely out of it for 24 hours after the 10 hour surgery.  She'll also have a trache and a feeding tude through her nose.  This is a serious surgery, I'll be glad when it's over.  The stay is a minimum of a week after surgery.  Can  you tell we are obsessing and worried :(.

Prayers to all in need, I'm about ready for bed and some reading tonight.  Work was a bugger today.

So I scrubbed with the anitibiotic scrub and I am very
clean. I will shower again in the morning and have to be
at the hospital at 530a for my surgery. They were able to
see a metal clip that we hope is the reason my wound
site has never healed. Praying that this is it and
the ooze stops.I have the best surgeon
and I trust him completely.
Dana-I am praying for your sister .
Praying for your mom in Atlanta-know you
must feel the need to be there.
God is good and He is in control.
Have a good evening-Anita

Evening all,

Not much new in my world.  George, hope your night isn't too long, and they don't work you too hard!  How is Oleta's Mom doing?  You all are still in my prayers.

Prayers tonight for all of the spoken and unspoken requests.  Special healing prayers for Elizabeth Grace, prayers of strength for her family.  May God's will be done in this special child's life.  Special prayers for those who are about to have surgery, Dana's sister Renee, Anita, Paige, and anyone who I have missed.  May His hands guide the surgeon, and surgical staff to a sucessful complication free surgery and recovery.  Blessings to all.
