July Journey Tuesday

How's your journey going.  I felt like I went down the right path yesterday and hope to continue on it.  I had 2 protein drinks, never got in the third one, salad w/ meat and cheese for lunch and some sf, ff homemade ice cream, fajita meat and pinto beans w/ a little cheese for dinner, then 2 protein balls for a snack.  The only thing I had off track was a margarita. I don't know what made me think I needed one.  It made me awfully woozy.  I don't drink very often!

Today's plan:
lots of liquids
at least 2 protein drinks
salad w/ meat and cheese and lowfat ranch for lunch
fajita meat, cheese, pinto beans for dinner
protein balls or cottage cheese for snack

I did not touch my trail mix yesterday!  I was proud of myself.  I didn't snack during the night either.  I however, got my exercise painting and climbing up and down on a ladder, which is probably my exercise today, too.

What's your plan?

I had "hurting stomach" issues yesterday so didn't eat a lot.  Scale was nice and let me drop another 1/2 lb.  Down 3 lbs since the BBQ and I'm so happy.  I just made 2 protein drinks and put them in the freezer.  Will have one for a late breakfast here in a little while.  Lunch will probably be a mini sub sandwich-bought turkey, ham and salami yesterday.  Dinner will be leftover london broil.  I bought a HUGE london broil yesterday, took Clay forever to grill it but man was it yummy.  We have 1/2 of it left over, it's already sliced and cooked a perfect medium rare.  Will throw in a few roasted new potatoes and corn on the cob and we'll be set.

I've got a huge pot of homemade spaghetti sauce going right now but it's to freeze.  We had spaghetti and chicken parmesan last week so I'll just freeze it for another day.

I had an okay day yesterday.  I went a bit over what I want my cal goal to be, but not enough to be worried or upset.  I did log everything in FitDay (which is how I knew for sure I was over my personal limit).  I stopped at Sbux on the way to support group and I really need to stop that.  It costs too much money and is liquid cals I don't need.  I've got some SF coffee and cappuccino at home that I can have when I want a drink and it costs pennies compared to Sbux.

Today I'm on track for a good day.  Here's what I've got planned:

AM - Protein shake (can't wait till my regular stuff comes in, I don't like the stuff I'm using right now)
Western bagel w/ 1 T PB
2 egg beater omelet with 3 oz ground turkey, mushrooms, red peppers, olives, cheese (this will make 2-3 mini meals today)

Mid day- 2 egg rolls
Spinach salad w/ carrots, olives, red peppers, banana peppers, croutons & RF ranch dressing
1 apple
1/2 c cottage cheese
1/2 c strawberries
1 cheese stick w/ 2 slices of lunch meat ham

PM - Meatballs with spaghetti sauce and mozzarella cheese

I may or may not fini**** all, if I do it's fine (it's already written down) if not, no biggie.  I've noticed I'm not as hungry in the am, but then tend to munch more in the afternoon.  My plan is, as long as I've planned all the food I munch on, counted it, and don't drin****il 20-30 min after I eat it's ok.

I've had several good days...............Sat, Sun and MOnday...............stayed on plan and only "snacked" on what I brought., prepared for and is "allowable" food - lite yogart, 1% cottage cheese.....OS TRIM snacks - etc................no vending machine yummies or anything like that.

Excercise achieved last evening so I feel really good about that.............

I JUST FEEL GOOD ABOUT MY CHOICES AND HEALTH WISE - I'M FEELING GOOD IN GENERAL BECAUSE I'VE CUT BACK THE CARBS.........Its amazing how those things really lag a person down !!  :(

  • As of 11-10-13 I have had weight gain.  Not happy about that.

You know, thought I did really well yesterday, but when I finished logging food from last night, realized I still had 485 calories left over to eat yesterday....  Maybe that's one of my problems, not eating quite enough (and never thought to say that!!!!).

All smiley faces for what I did eat, but only ate 1100 calories total and not enough protein at 61 gr.

So, new plan of attack for today...

Breakfast-Oatmeal (my norm)
S-Banana
L-Smoked chicken with squash and broccoli (dinner left over's)
S-Protein shake (then workout)
D-Planning Taco's (without shell)
S-May add another protein shake to the day....

With planned exercise and all food on board, will put me at 1327 c, 105 protein and still have 250 calories to play with.

Good afternoon.... didn't have a chance to post this morning before I ran out the door!!!  Because I'm having sugery tomorrow my lapband doc wanted me to have an unfill!!!!!!   I was not happy.... they left 1.5 cc's in and I can go back next week to get more back in.  I understand why they wanted to do it.... but that's my security blanket!!!  So between now and next Tuesday I have to really be consionce of what I'm eating.  I'm only 8lbs from goal and DO NOT want to blow it!!!!!

I was so busy yesterday I almost forgot to eat!!!!!! 

Today....  shake for breakfast, fish for lunch.... not sure about diner yet!

Hi Karla & TMB,

Yesterday was good.  I don't think I may have gotten enough of low carb veggies in.  I am trying to remove myself from being a scale addict.  I will not weigh again until Thursday/Friday. 

Today's plan:

B-Coffee, eggs and bacon
L-Diet coke (I thought there were more eggs in the fridge at work but there were not anymore)
D-Lettuce, tomato & cheese  with ranch dressing with maybe one piece of chicken

People are so worried about what they eat between Christmas and the New Year, but they really should be worried about what they eat between the New Year and Christmas. ~Author Unknown

Faith, if that's all you're eating, that's not enough food.  I hope you had something more than just Diet Coke for lunch (said in my stern Momma voice).  You have to have enough calories in to prevent going into starvation mode.  You for sure need that chicken tonight with the salad...  all the above was said with love...

Hey Steph  I know you said it all with love and I appreciate it.  The guys here at work had raided the fridge and there is nothing here.  I usually always have salad fixings but they were gone too.  I am really about to starve to death.  I just ate 3 tortilla chips.  I have a board meeting at 5:30 p.m. and IDK if I will make it. I will never be this unprepared again.  I will make sure of it.  Thanks Momma.
