Hello All, Sorry I haven't been posting lately. We have been working really hard trying to get the deck at our house redone. Actually we just painted stain on most of it.. power washed the floor and put sealer on it. Then we fixed it so that my dog can't get up there and we can actually enjoy it without having her jumping on everyone all the time.
Not doing great food wise but,,,, I am aware of it and working on changing it back to where it needs to be.
Have a great day.. Prayers out to all in need. and those who don't know they need it.

Back in Corpus Christi after four days taking care of baby Ezra in San Antonio. She is such a joy. It's true that grandchildren are so much more fun that your own children.
Enjoying a quiet morning before unpack, start my laundry and review my meal plans for the rest of the week. After being gone for 4 days, I need to clean out the refrigerator, but I think I'll wait until tomorrow. Our trash pick up is not until Thursday and I don't want my neighbors to think I've hidden a body in my trash can.
It's still very hot and dry in CC. We are in desperate need of rain. We enjoyed a couple of showers while we were in SA. It sure was nice. But I'm going to have to get out this afternoon and water my herbs and flowers. They're very wilted. Forecasters say today will be another record high ... over 99 again.
Patrick is doing well with his first week of weening off of his first medication. He stopped taking Amiodorone last Thursday. Yesterday he actually said he felt good for a little while. I'm very encouraged by that. If he continues to do well, he'll stop taking another medication next Thursday. I'm hopeful that getting off these medications will help. I appreciate your continued prayers for him.
I made dinner for the kids before we left SA last night. I made Terry's Mexican Meatloaf with fresh squash and mashed potatoes. The meatloaf was a huge hit. Even my 13-year-old step-grand daughter loved it ... and she gives new meaning to the term picky eater.
Go out and make it a great day ... and drink your water ... dehydration can happen to you.

Good morning all. I'm really running late this morning. I've actually been online on and off since 7:00 but haven't had time to post. I'm making a HUGE pot of homemade spaghetti sauce to freeze and my house smells wonderful. I let it simmer for 8-10 hours and I've already done more "tasting" than I should.
I have fantastic news...we found out this morning that Hailey was granted an assistantship in grad school. That means she will be working about 20 hours a week at the Denton State School in conjunction with UNT. Financially, that will help a LOT. We also found out she also got a downstairs apartment so we won't have to move furniture upstairs, woohoo!! We're gonna make a run up to Denton tomorrow to finish her paperwork so I better go get some stuff done today.
