Any one in Ft. Hood/Killeen/Copperas Cove area???

 Hey if your military you know how this one goes me and my husband are PCSing to Ft. Hood. I'm a stay at home mom and i want a work out buddy/support group down in that area I'm staying up here to do my surgery but my home is in Copperas Cove... Military don't do WLS in Ft. Hood yet or thats what they told me so i'm staying behind and my husbands going down there without me.. So if anyone is down there let me know just looking for some friends and people that are going threw what i'm going to be going threw thanks!!!

Welcome to the area!  They *do* do WLS at Ft. Hood. Or they outsource it to a local hospital. I_Love_My_Soldier's husband is stationed at Hood, and she just had the surgery a month or so ago (she's one of my friends).  I'm not at Hood, but I live in Waco, which is about 45 minutes away. 

 they told me they didn't they would have to out source me and i would prob go to witchitafalls and i all ready live 30 min from there so i thought might as well stay with my fam and get this done here at Ft. Sill... and i wouldn't have to start from square one again..... my husbands step sis lives in waco so i have been there a few times..... thanks for the reply

That makes sense. :) Do you have a surgery date yet?

 yes i do its Aug 25th i start my liquid diet on the 11th I'm practicing sipping and I'm looking for stuff on sale for the liquid diet so i have a variety I'm really excited 

Hello! I am in Fort Hood/ Killeen. I had my surger April 30. We live off post in Killeen. We will be PCS'ing in October to Fort Benning, GA. However, we have lived in Killeen for 3 1/2 years.  Copperas Cove is only a few minutes away. WELCOME to Fort Hood!

 Thank you!!! I have a 9 month old right now he will be 10 almost 11 months when i have the surgery and we are moveing down there next week and come back here for surgery on aug 25th so don't really know what i'm going to do when i get back down there hopeing i make friends fast....
