The NIGH****CHMAN - Monday - 7/20
Going to the Rangers vs Red Sox tonight. Hope the rain holds off long enough.
Prayer requests are listed below.
Also, please feel free to just visit here. Tell us about how your day went. Your successes. Your failures. Your fun. Whatever. When I post this thread, I do not have access to any chat programs, so this sometimes substitute as that vessel for me.
Continue to keep your thoughts and prayers for the members of our Armed Forces serving around the world, especially during this time of increased awareness. Please thank God for these men and women every day. In addition, please keep the wives and family members in your thoughts.

Beauuuuutiful day here! Had dinner tonight with one of my cousins. Her mom was my mom's twin so we were close as kids. She stays in touch with us and has lunch with my sister from time to time, too. The girls and I will go out to her house either Thursday or Friday to visit with them. Heather probably won't go because they have a standard Schnauzer and Heather is afraid of "bigger" dogs, even though Zoey is not that big. Her kids are young though so I think she just doesn't want to go hang out with an 8 year old boy and his 3-4 year old sister. Sarah wants to go play with the kids and V wants to play with their dog so having two out of three happy is fine by me.
Went to the eye doctor today. I was a bit worried because I kept having little bouts of my vision just blurring out for a second or two for no reason! Had me worried. Well, he figured out what the problem was...when my blood sugar drops because I haven't eaten, that can happen. Sometimes I get the shakes when I'm low but now I know this is a second tattle-tale sign that I have forgotten to eat! I get busy with the girls and just forget to eat. I really don't have hunger, still, after nearly five years post-op, which I'm thankful for, but those little tattle-tales sneak up on me! I did have to get a progressive bifocal, too. I think the heart attack happened when I went to get the glasses though...darn near $750!!! Progressive bifocals are a newer process sooooo, still relatively expensive. Just the two lenses on my glasses were nearly $400! YOWZA! Thankfully I have vision insurance so my portion (which is still a kick in the head...) is $360. UUUGH! Glad to know nothing MAJOR was wrong though. I do have "floaters" but that is just an age thing so I'm fine with that.
The girls have tennis tomorrow so we'll all be in town most of the afternoon. It's supposed to rain sometime tomorrow, too.
OH....funny sight on my way home from dinner tonight...my parents live out in the country so have to go down a few country roads to get our house. Our street only has about seven houses on it and everyone has a good 3/4 to one acre in between. Before you get to the houses, you have to travel a half mile down this road with corn and/or soybean fields on either side. I turned down the road only to quickly come to a stop...to let a family of SKUNKS walk across the street! There was two large ones and three kiddos! They were cute but glad they were heading off into the corn field! Definitely didn't want to mess with those guys!!!
