Not sure if this will help I just searched obstruction on the top right and a lot of links came up... I skimmed this one and it seems to talk about symptoms... I don't know much about it myself...

Hello!
I'm sorry that I didn't catch your post earlier.
You can google: "bowel obstruction post gastric bypass" or "bowel obstruction" and get too much information that you read! :-)
Symptoms vary from person to person so even my own personal experience with several bowel obstructions will not likely be the same experience for someone else.
If a bowel obstruction is caused by an impaction, that may be relieved without surgery. You and even non-ops can try to avoid an impaction by avoiding constipation.
All but one of my obstructions were caused by adhesions (scar tissue) that developed in my abdominal cavity and strangled the intestines which required surgery to correct. In the other case, as a complication of a corrective bowel obstruction surgery, my bowel kinked over and an emergency surgery was required to unkink it.
If you suspect a bowel obstruction, please contact your health care professional(s) as soon as possible and they can quickly become life threatening.
I hope this helps!
I have two sides to my brain - a right side and a left side. The trouble is sometimes there is nothing left in the right side and nothing right in the left side.
