July Journey Sunday

Okay folks...how did you do on your journey yesterday?

I did pretty good.  Didn't get off track by much on my plan.

Today's plan:  (not necessarily a good one...haven't decided what to eat)

lots of liquids
at least 2 protein drinks (already done w/ one)
haven't planned lunch or dinner
sf ice cream for snack

What's your plan?

I'm going to gear up to do hi-pro, lo carb eating starting tomorrow.  I'm going to make some protein balls for snacks, get some cottage cheese, salad makings, and lean meats.  I WILL exercise starting tomorrow!

My body is in a weird state.  I think I need to alternate the number of calories I eat to lose these last 6 pounds.  I ate a bit more yesterday and lost a pound.  Today I'll try to eat a little less.  So my goals are:

get in all of my protein
take all my vitamins and supplements
drink 64 oz of water (I hate water right now)
exercise for an hour

Scale is exactly the same.  Today's plan isn't a good one for me either.  I started with a Western bagel with peanut butter and 3 oz of steak for breakfast.  Lunch is 4 oz chicken parmesan and some spaghetti with meat sauce.  Dinner is some sort of grilled chicken and fried zucchini.  Brought fresh fruit with SF fruit dip for snack.

Plan for next week is to cook up some solid protein and make some SF/FF pudding for snacks. I also bought fudgesicles for snacks so I'll stay out of the ice cream.

I've  had better Sundays....

Today I slept in a little.  Went for a nice 3.5 mile walk.  I got home and started cleaning house.  1st mistake: skipped b'fast.  Come 12pm I was starving.  I had plenty of good/healthy food here at home, but I managed to convince my husband to go out and get something.  2nd mistake: Chinese buffet.  (What more do I need to say....   I just really "over did it".)

What did I learn?  I must have a meal plan, because then I have something to stick to/guide me.

No 4pm snack for me today....I'll try to do a protein shake for dinner.

Well I dodged a gain bullet this morning so I am relieved there.  Scale was at 176.4 which is 5 pounds from last Tuesday.  I was worried with the num num fajitas and beer last night.  Felt so bloated.

Today is cook up some chicken, pack breakfast and lunch for the week and make cucumber salad and broccoli slaw.  I got some strawberries as well.

I have about 11 days till my doctor appointment and I don't want to disappoint myself or my doctor with a gain.  Can't remember exactly what I was, but I have a range.

OMgosh .. yes, it is.  BUT, in my head and my eyes... I also replace the '5' with a '7' and sometimes a '9'... which is because when I was a freshmen in college I was in the 190's and then I did some program that got me in the 170s and that was the lowest I saw since 8th grade and I hit 144 with Phen Fen.  gosh, we aren't obsessed with weight and dates, are we? lol  Any significant date in my life has a calendar date and a weight..

Well despite my daiquiri and blizzard, the scale still shows me as losing. I think my low carbing for 6 days and then only having one cheat meal/drink for 1 day is working for me.  I have been doing this now for a little over 2 weeks and it has been working.

Today's plan:
I have already had 64 ounces of water, small salad, 3-4 Tbsp of pinto beans.
I will possibly eat another small salad with a baked pork chop/rib.

People are so worried about what they eat between Christmas and the New Year, but they really should be worried about what they eat between the New Year and Christmas. ~Author Unknown

My husband's having a procedure on Tuesday and then is having one of his kidney's removed on Friday.  Thanks to Vivian sharing some OH samples, I placed an order and received it so I have plenty of high protein snacks and meals to haul around.  Most hospital food is YUK so I'm going prepared!
