Did I mess up too badly ??
I did really well this morning and for lunch......
1 protein shake for breakfast
1 protein shake for lunch
well - after swimming I came home and I was hungry or decided that I probably needed to do something other thank liquids only....that may not be feasible for me to be too restrictive........
So I had about 2-4 oz of Chicken salad....made with lite miracle whip, onions, pickles..... & chicken of course.....then I decided I wanted something else and made me a PB&J (no sugar added J) sandwich................
WRONG WRONG WRONG.............?? HUH?????????????

Planning for me is key, I'm tired of eating the same ole things (and I have thousands of good healthy recipes). Tomorrow I'm going to pull my recipe collection out, find several things I want/like and go to the grocery store. My focus this week will be meats and healthy veggies and I'm getting cottage cheese and yogurt for snacks. I MUST also get back to protein shakes, I know that it is key to me not vegging all the time but I get lazy and just stop making them. No excuses really.....I need to just do it.

did you make decent choices? were they good quality food? did you have resonable portiions? if the answer is yes then you did good b/c this is for health for life
now if you came here and said I stopped and grabbed a fryed chicken sandwich with cheese on the way home and then grabbed a big bag of cheetos and half a gallon of ice cream - I would be concerened for you b/c you would not have beebn able to answer those questions like you can based on yesterday
btw I use protien shakes along with foods - I start with one at 5 or so in the morning with my morning meds /vits and then have real food, often have a second one in the middle of the afternoon

I know what I need to do - I have to choose to take care of me or I choose to fail
I have always been very good at rationalizing.
I think you did ok. Just think before you could have
eaten a bag of chips and a couple of cokes and ice cream.
This time you chose protein or protein plus(bread?).
So next time-you'll put the peanutbutter on an apple
or wait a little longer and maybe not need the extra.
Look how far you have come. You are great.

try-just do it.
I am not a nutritionist, or a WLS doc, and I never played one on TV.
My thoughts are you might have starved yourself. You are used to eating and went to protein shakes. Your body is used to food. Then, when you gave your body food, it wanted FOOD.
Moderation.
I see you are going back to basics. That is the way to start. Take it easy. Drink a lot. Water or CL.
And remember we are here. All the time.
