OT - Real Estate Title/Deed Transfer

I am in the process of selling a house for cash money, no realtor involved and need someone to do the title/deed transfer paperwork. Anyone in DFW area in this kind of business?

When I did a "by owner" house without a realtor we still used a title company but in your case I'm not sure. (So basically, my response was worthless!!)

Jodie,

You'll need the work done. Go to a local title company.....you might want to shop for rates.... but most rates will be pretty comparable.

Where do you want to go to sign the papers? Who is paying for the Owner's Title Policy?

Thanks, Janet. I'd like to find a place in the Garland area to make it convenient to all parties involved.

We haven't really worked out ALL the details, but a realtor friend was asking me about the Title Policy too and I'm pretty clueless about it. I know the title is clear, so I guess if the buyer wants to be certain, they will pay for it!
