Sunday WLS Express

Good morning.  It's hard to believe another week has flown by.  This summer is moving fast.  I still have 3 weeks off, so I better finish all my home projects this week.  I'm going to prime and paint my hall to my bedrooms and replace the 2 remaining doors to match the other new ones I've put in.  We had cheap crappy wood hollow doors.  I switched to vinyl faux wood 6 panel cheap Lowe's doors.  They look much better.  It's a shame when the door knobs cost as much or more than the doors.

We're going to SS and church, then Walmart to do some heavy duting shopping.  I haven't been in a while.  I have been home from Dallas for a week and this will only been the 2nd time I've left the house.  I've been busy, so didn't get cabin fever!

Lynnette, I'm sure you had a good time seeing your baby niece yesterday.  I'm happy for you!  I'll be coming your way to visit you at work on Saturday, August 1st.  I made my hotel reservations yesterday.  We'll be staying in Dallas at the Westin Park Central.  I was excited because I got it for $55 a night on priceline.com!

Kathy B. and Stephanie G...hope you'll go visit Lynnette w/ us.  I know Ben and I are coming and probably a good friend's son who is in college.  His mom will come too if she can.  She visits there as much as she can; she was there while we were at the BBQ last week.

Where DOES the weekend go?  Seems like I just get home, turn around and it's time to leave again!  I think this is the last week to head to PA.  Our client wants us to stay and do some additional work, but the details haven't been worked out and contracts signed.  I'm looking forward to spending more than 36 hours at home for a few weeks for sure!

It was a crazy week last week.  I certainly wasn't feeling up to par, physically or emotionally and didn't have a good "food" week, but had the greatest surprise to see the scale reading 158 Saturday morning.  Two pounds below the goal I originally picked due to my surgeon's "expectations". 

Met with a few people to look at the house we grew up in and are trying to sell and actually think we have a buyer.  Neighbor across the street had been wanting to find out about it to purchase for his daughter and family.  They called about an hour after we left from there with a cash money offer.  SOLD!! LOL  Cash talks, BS walks!  Now I need to find a title company to assist with the paperwork (see separate post LOL).

We did our usual Saturday night racing thing - King won his qualifying heat race and had a small oil fire in the main event.  It doesn't take him long to bail out of the car once he sees a little fire!  No harm, no foul and no damage that we saw last night. 

My nephew and his baby's momma got married earlier in the week and my sister is having a small reception for them this afternoon that I hate to miss, but can't make it and catch my flight. 

King still snoozing this morning, I need to be busy but here I sit and before I know it, it will be time to head out.

We put Jess and Emily on the 11am flight to Philly. Hope this week goes by quickly!

I've been up way to long, lounging around and not feeling to well today.  My ears are bothering me and the post nasel drip is nasty.  Maybe this is the sign I need to not graze because food just isn't sounding good at all today.  Had a protein shake this morning and yogurt with a piece of cheese a bit ago, not sure what the rest of the day will entail....a nap maybe?

Gosh I agree with Jodi, the weekends go to fast.  I'm really thinking I need a vacation soon, just to rest, lol.

Oh well, better get back on the sofa and rest.....I cannot be sick tomorrow, I only work 3 days and heading to H-town for my sister's surgery and IF I'm sick I cannot go :(.
