The NIGH****CHMAN - Weekend edition, and requests for updates please
Good evening all. Nice day today. A little rain.
Please, please, please. Keep me updated on your prayer requests. Also, if you have any, post them here so I can include them on the list. We need to pray for our fellow TMBers and their family.
Early this morning on my way to work, I heard a thump thump sound. Pulled over to check the tires, nothing. Back in, same thing. Found the steel sticking out of my front left tire. Had less than 5 miles to work, so slowed down and continued. Called my road service (2AM). Gave me a timeframe for arrival of the guy and sure enough, he got there. I pay for road service, so I don't change tires.
Honeydew weekend and squeeze in some work and a ball game. Probably won't be on the board much. But I will be sure to read when I can and will add/change prayer requests. Thanks for your help.
Prayer requests are listed below.
Also, please feel free to just visit here. Tell us about how your day went. Your successes. Your failures. Your fun. Whatever. When I post this thread, I do not have access to any chat programs, so this sometimes substitute as that vessel for me.
Continue to keep your thoughts and prayers for the members of our Armed Forces serving around the world, especially during this time of increased awareness. Please thank God for these men and women every day. In addition, please keep the wives and family members in your thoughts.

Dana,
I will be thinking and praying for Renee and all of you.
What did I miss?
Did she have an accident that is requiring this reconstruction?
I have two sides to my brain - a right side and a left side. The trouble is sometimes there is nothing left in the right side and nothing right in the left side.

Busy day today. Got the hair cut, then V to tennis at 1 pm. She was done at 2:30 which is the time Heather has to be there - until 4 pm so we were in town a good part of the day. Had to go to the store and get stuff to make a couple dishes to share on Saturday night at my uncle's house. The city he lives in does their fireworks display a few weeks AFTER the 4th so they get a lot of them and they are huuuge, so we go out there to his house for an afternoon/evening get together, then watch the fireworks when they start at around 9 pm. I really wish I could share some of this cooler weather. It should be unseasonably cool in the morning...52! Birrr!!! As it is, I'm sitting here in my lounge pants as they are of course longer with socks on my feet as it is chilly! Just ridiculous that three states away there is a 40 degree temperature difference. I made cupcakes (as well as the frosting) from scratch (yep, NO box mix...I know, dumb, but they really look good!!!) and we'll also be making a big pot of chili as that will yummy in the tummy when we're sitting outside in the cool north wind! Thankfully I can make the cupcakes without being tempted to eat them. That kind of stuff makes me horribly sick so I leave them alone!
My sister is taking the two older girls to see Harry Potter tomorrow morning. She got some discounted tickets at work - only catch was they had to go to the 9 am show. They are so excited to go so don't care AT ALL about what time they have to get up to go watch it! I just think it's too much for Sarah so she didn't go over there as she has been on Friday nights. I didn't think it was fair for her to go over there only to have to be woken up early just to be brought back over here since I didn't want her going. She fussed about it initially but got over it. I just think it would be harder for her to watch the older girls stay in the car and drive off knowing they were going to the movies.
Ok, guess I'd better get going. My parents go to bed rather early so when I'm up still at 2-3 am, dad just about has a fit and tells me to go to bed!!! Hope everyone has a terrific weekend! If ya'll are outdoors, be sure to keep up with your liquids to avoid dehydration!
I was going to comment about your kids going to the 9AM movie. I was going to say how can they eat popcorn that early. But, guess what. I just finished some popcorn myself and it is just 10AM.
Some people don't have the willpower even if they do react badly. Good for you.
Maybe you can take Sarah to see Ice Age or something. Just a thought.
Later.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
Yeah, my sister is probably going to take her to see either "Up!" or wait until "G-Force" comes out and take her to see that one.
The girls liked the Potter movie. I'm just not into it so glad my sister wanted to go with them!
We went out to my Uncle's house to watch the fireworks their town puts on (yes, two weeks after the 4th). We brought the chili and the cupcakes. It was so cold that the six quart roaster full we brought was completely gone! We have a bunch of cupcakes left only because there were so many desserts, as usual, so I told my sister to take them to her office on Monday. They will be gone in no time! They had stuff like brownies, pie, cheesecake, etc. but I didn't touch any of that stuff. One of my cousins said to me, "how can you not eat any"? I said, "well, first of all, I don't miss it so really have no desire for it, but secondly, I would get horribly sick after eating it so just know better and don't eat it!!! They provided hot dogs but I didn't eat any of those either. Processed foods like that really don't sit well with me so I just ate the chili instead! It was rainy though so kinda dreary and blah weather wise, but the company of people was all that mattered.
Guess I need to get moving. That alarm for church is going to go off early!!!
