TGIF WLS Express
Good morning! My vacation time in Arizona is winding down.... how can 3 weeks go by so quickly!!! It seems like we just got here. Originally we were going to leave early on Monday but it looks like we will now leave on Sunday. Which is probably better.... considering I'm having surgery on Wednesday. This way I can get things unpacked on Monday and stock up on groceries before I do all my preop stuff on Tuesday.
The kids went into town last night and spent the night with their cousins so I will drive in and get them after lunch. We will probably meet up with them again tomorrow for one last hurrah before we leave. I'm not looking forward to the 20 hour drive home!!!!!!!!!
Prayers to all who need them and wishing everyone a wonderful start to the weekend!!!!

Good morning fellow Texans,
I think I'll ride in the Starbuck's car today. I'll start with a Grande Nonfat 2 Splenda Latte please.
Danni, I'm so jealous that you live close to Savannah. It's on my list of places to visit. Hopefully within the next few years we'll make that trip.
We got great news from the cardiologist yesterday, Patrick's heart is functioning perfectly. In her words "It could not be any better." Starting today he will be weening off of the many prescription meds he's taking. He'll drop one at a time 2 weeks apart. Getting off all of them will take 3-4 months at that rate. Anyway, the hope is that his fatigue and lack of stamina is caused by one or all of the meds and getting off of them will make him start to feel better. We shall see. She also referred him to an endocrinologist for testing of his hormone levels. Apparently, the multiple surgeries he's had and the meds he's been on for 2+ years may have caused a "male menopause" phenomenon. I guess it's just one more thing we will check off the list.
We're headed for San Antonio this afternoon. We're staying at Katy's house and taking care of Ezra (the grand daughter) and Minne (the Jack Russell Terrier) while they're off camping at Colorado Bend State Park. We'll be there until Monday evening. We're both looking forward to spending lots of baby time and, as an added bonus, there is a Starbucks within about 2 miles. Since the closest Starbucks to me is 22 miles, I love having one close by. Baby and coffee = bliss.
Y'all have a great weekend. Go out and make it a great day. And, drink your water ... dehydration can happen to you!
