I waited 5 years to have surgery and I watched 4 friends at work shrink down. I kept waiting for something horrible to happen to them because of their surgery to talk me out of it. And I kept dieting and failing.

My only regret was waiting so long. But I am glad I exhausted all other avenues before I went under the knife because by then, I had no doubt I was doing the right thing. I just had my one year anniversary and nothing has changed my mind yet

I had my WLS in Mexico. The VSG and Texas boards have been invaluable to me. We're all walking the same walk. Through the boards I've found some local support groups that have also been wonderful. It's a must to stay plugged in and accountable!
