Good evening all.  Hectic day for me, but really not doing anything.  My nephew is landing at DFW in about 90 minutes.  My son will pick him  up and we are all going over there for dinner.  They are then leaving at 4AM for Colorado.  We will be watching their dog.  Who used to be our dog.  And before that was their dog.

Going to work at 2:15AM.  Leaving this job at 6:30 PM.

Busy weekend planned.  A lot of honeydew stuff.  But I am a nice guy (just ask me) and will get it done.  Also going to the Rangers game Saturday, besides working Saturday morning.

Prayer requests are listed below.

Also, please feel free to just visit here.  Tell us about how your day went.  Your successes.  Your failures.  Your fun.  Whatever.  When I post this thread, I do not have access to any chat programs, so this sometimes substitute as that vessel for me.

Continue to keep your thoughts and prayers for the members of our Armed Forces serving around the world, especially during this time of increased awareness.  Please thank God for these men and women every day.  In addition, please keep the wives and family members in your thoughts.

Hey George....
Today was a "nada" day.  We just had a thunderstorm come through here ahead of a cold front.  Tomorrow morning I'll be using my sister's sweatshirt again....it will be like 58 degrees in the morning!  YIKES!!!  I don't think the temps will be much higher than 70 tomorrow.

Dad isn't feeling the hottest though.  He had a whopper of a headache which was so bad he had to go lay down for a while.  If you knew my dad, well, that just isn't in the equation for the day (a nap).  He is on the go from like 7:00 am until about 11 pm at the latest.  He just has to keep himself busy.  So, after he got up, he had some soup, sat back down in his chair, but then got completely nauseated.  Poor guy!  Luckily when I come up here, I bring ALLLLLL the meds I think the girls and I might need for the entire time.  One of the meds I have is Zofran which is a prescription, but I had a few so gave dad one to let melt under his tongue.  That helped him tremendously so I was glad.  Hopefully it's just a 24 thing that only HE gets (I really don't want all of us getting it).

Getting my hair cut tomorrow...thank goodness.  Can't spike my hair when it's too long!  The two older girls have tennis tomorrow so we'll be gone most of the afternoon.  The USTA stuff is different, they have to play by age categories, so V plays from 1-2:30 and then Heather from 2:30-4:00.  Mom, Sarah and myself will probably hang out and get lunch or something while we wait for each one to finish.

Hope everyone has a great day tomorrow.  Take those vitamins and keep up with the water!

I have an update.  Things seem to change on an hourly basis!  Jim's surgery was postponed.  His surgeon had to have surgery!  We don't stop to think about our care givers needing help!  We met with surgeon #2.  Jim will have a stint put into his "good kidney" to protect it on Tuesday, July 21.  His surgery (this guy thinks he can do it laproscopically!!!) will be on Friday, July 24.  We so appreciate all the prayers that come our way!

Grace,

Janet
