Yep - the new bees are being veerry bad girls
I have made some rookie mistakes but they shouldn't be popping me through my gloves just for taking the top cover off. I didn't have any of these problems with my older hive.
The good thing that has come out of it is I finally decided to buy myself the bee suit I have been wanting and was waiting till my weight leveled off. I won't be losing enough more to make any difference since they need to be baggy anyways to keep the bees from being able to reach your skin.
Unfortunately, I probably won't get my new suit in before I have to dig in the hive to find the queen, but I will double up on my protection clothing, smoke the hooey out of them, wear double gloves and hope for the best.

Shucks Sarah, I just missed you. I was there Monday for my preop!!!!!!!!!CONGRATULATIONS on your 1 year anniversary and be sure to keep a seat warm for me on the losers bench. I can not wait until I get that skinny healthy feeling!!!!
