Congrats Sarah!  I met ya at the OH Houston conference in November and I love following your progress since we had surgery around the same time!  You've done a FANTASTIC job and I wish you continued success!

Hi Debbie!  Wow - we have almost the same stats - pretty amazing isn't it????

I am happy to see you doing so well also because I think the VSG would be a better surgery for my grown son.  Maybe insurance will cover it soon and he will actually have medical coverage in the future LOL.  I have been watching you and Jodie shrink and am very impressed with both of your results.

I am sorry to say - YES that is me on the left

I can't believe I ever let myself get that big, but I can tell you I NEVER, EVER would have gotten to the size I am without WLS !!!!  I tried every diet and system there is, exercised my butt off, starved myself, gave up this, gave up that - you name it LOL

And I can't even begin to describe how good it feels to be a normal size - OMG - it is AMAZING!  I can't wait to watch you shrink to your skinny self!

I will also tell you that I failed at so many diets that I didn't really believe I could get to the 150's ever again.  It just seemed so unattainable to me.  I just turned 50 in January so I am not a spring chicken anymore and my expectations were not high.  I set my goal at 145 and I think I will make it and want to keep my weight between 145-150 as my range.

Secretly I really thought I would get to the 180's and stall out and be wearing 14-16's and compared to where I started I had decided that would be ok, too.  And I DID stall out there, but it was just a plateau and eventually the scale started moving again because I just kept focusing on the pouch rules (protein first) and tried to exercise when I could.

I eat carbs every day, but I don't eat any until lunch and I try to limit them and eat them in moderation.

I will be dusting off a place for you on the loser's bench soon!!!  You can see how much my butt shrank, so there's plenty of room for you now!!!    My ex used to say when I hauled ass I had to make 2 trips.  It should have made me mad, but it always made me laugh instead.
