I have a rebirth date!
I get to join the ranks of the losers on August 17, 2009!!!! After a hiccup with the insurance company saying they didn't get my info last month, it took about two weeks from the day they received it to the day they approved it. I spoke with the nurse at Providence this morning, and she's requested that I be put on the surgery schedule for the 17th! I can't wait to be on the other side!! Any prep tips for 1 month before surgery?
Congratulations on your surgery date! Maybe someone else will chime in but my best advice for prep tips is to follow your doctor's orders. We will be waiting for you on the loser's bench...
People are so worried about what they eat between Christmas and the New Year, but they really should be worried about what they eat between the New Year and Christmas. ~Author Unknown
WOOHOO!!! Congrats on getting your date!! These next few week will be the longest of your life. Just stay busy..and stay HERE alot..and the time will pass quickly. Use this time to have everything YOUR doctor says to have on hand. It's also a good time to organize your closet, because you will be flying thru those sizes soon.

We Can Do Hard Things
Congratulations, it'll be here before you know it.
Couple of suggestions:
1) take pictures before surgery, NOW wouldn't hurt if you are on a pre-op diet you want your weight now....front, back, side and what's really cool is if you take it in front of a door or fence where you can see your shrink.
2) take your measurements
3) bring chapstick to the hospital, along with some comfy slide-ons for walking, a buttom up robe for walking, a pillow for the ride home along with comfy clothes and your personal hygene items....don't overpack.
4) Don't spend lots of money on protein shakes, I suggest you buy samples www.vitalady.com; www.bariatriceating.com; www.unjury.com.
5) Start walking NOW just a little each day helps you allot.
6) Organize your closet by sizes, you'll be running through them pretty quick.
That's all I can think of right now, other than come HERE as much as you can for support, knowledge and true friendships.
