Have ya all been wondering if I died?? Also question re: indigestion!

Hello to all.. it sure has been a long time (what, 2 mo. or more) since I sent a message to all my caring friends. How am I? Well, it has been a long, long road. After my surgery, (3/31/09) and my hospitalization 3 days later with pnunomia I needed a hernia operation... My dear Dr Marquez (Austin) went in and repaired (mesh) a grapefruit sz hernia. I came home with 2 drains on each side of stomach. Richard & I decided to go on a vacation, for 1) to get away from any medical thoughts; him having his prostrate cancer in FEB, as well as my 3 hospitalizations since April and 2) to get use to being with each other 24/7, being he retired!!) Ya, more husband, less money!

Anyway, on June 7th away we drive, from San Marcos to NY City.. & we saw everything inbetween including Washington DC, where I had the drains removed after 3 wks!! I was so getting attached to those lil balls!

After 3 wks of travel home to San Marcos we came and after arriving home a day later my stomach swelled up like you wouldn't believe. The pain was unbareable & I was lucky to get into see Dr M ... well it was blood/fluid buildup! ( I had waited til there was like 20 cc's for 2 days before having the drains removed in Washington DC) but evidently more fluid was in there! ALOT! She pulled out 300 cc's! I went back a wk ago and she put another drain in as more fluid was in pockets..
That leads me up to today kids! I have pain and I am wondering why as Dr Marquez says I shouldn't have any?? Anyone have my experience?? Also I am suffering from severe indigestion.. Using GasX, & AlkaSelzer which helps somewhat...
Hoping that this drain works (so far 50 cc's every other day) or Dr has to go in again!! Help!

OMG....>Carole....I was wondering where you were !!!!  I am SO SORRY you are going through this.    Honey....Gas can make you SOOOO MISERABLE !!!!    As far as the Alka Seltzer.....make sure that is something that you can take.    I was told beano and gas x !!!   Sorry that you are having problems with the fluid build up.   Glad you had a great vacation though.    Hope you get to feeling better really soon.   Keep in touch.
