OT: Schlitterbahn Galveston
We are going to rent a cabana in the park. We have a 2 yr old who would play mostly in the kiddie area and she loves the lazy river things. Which part of the park would be best for that? Anyone know?
I called and the girl recommended the back part of the park but then the cabana is kind of far from the lazy river I'm thinking?
Any knowledge would be greatly appreciated!

Is it the funhouse sandcastle that is the kiddy area? That is the way its set up down here and there are tons of tables and chairs all around the sandcastle. Then, u hop, skip and jump and get on the aqua-veyer and that in turn will take u to all the "ride" destinations AND towards the rapids/lazy river. (u only have to "walk" to ONE ride in our schlitterbahn) the rest take u through the water. Our cabanas are quite a ways from the main funhouse/sandcaste. there are several "pool" areas w/ big alligators or frog slides that she can play on. We also have a lily pad area that has a cushion ground and a big awning/shade type of thing that totally protects from the sun. (for babies and smaller children) Ok, I just described MY shlitterbahn. U see, YOU all should just come down here and stay with me. lol I HOPE they are kind of the same waterparks.
Have fun!

Monica

U tell me that I sin,
U say Im bound for hell,
So once ur judgment condemns U,
I SHALL SEE U THERE.
I'd rather be an OPEN sinner
than a FALSE saint...
There is a pirate ship play area for little kids. There is also a sandy beach area in one part. There are also some little slides in the pavillion area. You can get into the lazy river at many different locations. Renting a cabanna is probably a good idea with a little one who might want to lay down and nap part of the day. I was there yesterday and it was pretty crowded. We got there about noon, and there were no more tables available. We kept our ice chest against a wall and sat on an intertube when we wanted to eat. If you get there right when it opens, you can sit your stuff on a picnic table for the day for free. You can look on the Schlitterbaun web site for a map of the park.
