How much does fluid weigh

I'm home from the BBQ, exhausted and very happy to have spent time with my chosen family.  I'm also very swollen, swollen ankles, hands, belly, etc. Sitting out in the heat drinking tons of water will do that.

So for grins and giggles I wanted to see just how much swelling weighed.  This morning's weight was 260, just now it was 268.

Wow, fluid is HEAVY!! 

BTW - am I concerned or freaking out?  Not in the least.  This was totally a science question for me.

A gallon of water weighs a touch over eight (8.33) pounds. 

The best way to get rid of water weight is by drinking more water.  It will flush out the water trapped in your tissues.
