Thanks for all your thought, prayers and well wishes.  I just got home and I really feel good!

I was a good patient and got out of be soon and often.  I'm sure that has helped.

I was a nautious the day of surgery and even tried to 'refund' once, but it was just dry heaves.  Yuck - but it passed quickly.

It amazed me that less than 12 hours from surgery, I had clear liquids!  The body is amazing.  I can't yet tell if my pouch is full, but I'm sure that will come with time.  I'm also getting a little air in with my sipping.

The nurse also brought me a pill to swallow the first day.  I was a bit scared, but didn't have any trouble with it.

Now I've got to sip sip sip and rest rest rest.....

Congratulations.  Don't forget the standard advice - sip and walk - sip and walk and then sip and walk some more.  Seriously, take it easy and don't overdo it.  It's really hot and you just had major surgery.  You're going to do great.  Welcome to the loser's bench.
