Day 288YES, I completely feel the love and support of the thousands of people who are praying for our baby girl. It is quite AMAZING and I know it makes Jesus very HAPPY to see us all pull together in His name. Our prayer is Jesus will in turn make Elizabeth very HAPPY very SOON!
Elizabeth had an ECHO and EEG this morning. That is of the heart and brain, both look good. She had her eyes opened most of the morning and was responding to us. I read her books and she looked at me and pointed to me. They decided to extabate her and she had her tube pulled out around 2. She did very well but is not very happy since she is still npo, nothing to eat or drink. It is killing me to watch her suffer and not be able to give her something. When there is actually something you can do and then you can't it is frustrating. Her U/S showed the colitis to be a little worse. So, we are giving her pain meds to help. I am happy ahe is extubated and I can hold her again, I just hate to see her not happy. It will get better.
So, NOTHING has grown in her skin biopsy. The doctors really thought something fungal would have grown by today. She is continuing to keep EVERY doctor here on their toes. Everyone is really trying their very best. We STILL have NO answers. They are thinking right now it is one of two things, infection or PTLD. PTLD is caused from the EBV virus and is a little complicated to explain right now. I'm gathering from the doctors they would rather it be PTLD than infection HOWEVER both of these are SERIOUS conditions. So when I asked Dr. Leung which one to pray for he said neither. Pray for HEALING! i said dont we need a diagnosis. He said as long as Elizabeth gets better I don't have to know anything. SO PRAY FOR HEALING, FOR A MIRACLE! GOD can do it. Elizabeth can do it. Keep Praying Keep Believing Love, Michelle

I have two sides to my brain - a right side and a left side. The trouble is sometimes there is nothing left in the right side and nothing right in the left side.
