UGH....BELL HELICOPTER STILL ON STRIKE !!!!
Jodie....I am SO MAD at him this AM....I could wring his NECK !!!! He said he will NOT cross the picket line due to what his "friends" would think. Hell with his friends !!!! UGH MEN !!!! I HATE THEM SOMETIMES !!!!! He had better look into how long a union can strike without the company being able to replace them. Hmmmmm I may see if I can find some information on the internet about that. I am a hairstylist. BUT I have NOT worked in a salon in 28 + yrs. I do keep my license up though. Dealing with older ladies is not a easy task....trust me....I deal with 2 every week !!!! Some in the nursing homes are not good....ask Robin S about that....that is what SHE does !!!! The money is alright but trust me...some of those senile ladies can "hurt" you if they want to and there is nothing that you can do about it. My license expires this month too. Don't really have the money right now to renew but I will have to whether I like it or not. Worked too hard to let it expire !!!!

I am sorry your family is having to go through this.
I know it is going to be very hard financially until it is settled, but your husband needs your support right now. He has been a good provider if you have been able to stay home for 28 years.
As for crossing the picket line - that is easier to talk about than do. I worked at Union Carbide in Texas City as a co-op student (intern type job) while I was still going to A&M and there were guys there who had crossed a picket lines 25 years ago who were still considered outcasts and never forgiven for what they did. They had to go to work every single day and live with that. I don't agree with it and it isn't right, but that was the situation. So, you husband has to decide whether the short-term gain in pay is worth the long-term loss of friendship at work. I don't know how long he has worked there, but if you have been somewhere a long time it is like a second family.
I pray they settle quickly so everyone can get back to work!
