Friday WLS express

GOOD MORNING and TGIF! Man I thought today wouldn't get here! I woke up yesterday thinking it was Friday and today thinking it was Sat. Grr... hopefully today will go by quickly!

Man the heat is getting old! I'd much rather have the cold! Of course I say that and then when its 30 degrees outside I am tired of being cold. lol. Its so hot that by the time I get home I don't feel like I can truly cool off at home unless I have something cold to eat-like watermelon or strawberries and we didn't have either yesterday! So after supper we went to the store and found strawberries at least. Hopefully when I get home tonight, Chris won't have eaten them all! I can't believe when I was 20 I worked all summer in Waco in an unairconditioned building. I was crazy back then I guess. lol.
Today I get to go to Wal-Mart with the state's money! We're having a 4 day training next week at our office for consumers on job readiness- writing resumes, interviewing skills, etc- and we're going to get snacks and bottled water today. And I need to get the pizza order in too for lunch Monday. That's what we're going to feed them that day.

I'm taking off Wed and 1/2 day Friday because my family is coming Tuesday! Mom, dad, Jess and Emily are flying in Tuesday afternoon. Wed the adults are going to Six Flags and either I'll go with them or I'll help mom and Bryan watch the kids-they've offered to stay home to watch them. I can't decide what I want to do. I think I'll wait to see what the weather will be like. On one hand I never go to Six Flags and I love being able to fit in the seats. On the other I love spending time with Emily!
Prayers please for Emily-she has had trouble with her left ear since coming back from Texas the last time- ear infections all the time. Turns out her tube fell out. She failed a hearing test too, but we hope that was because of a massive infection in that ear. She is having tubes put back in Monday. The doc said she could fly on Tuesday- we were suprised, and happy she's still coming.

Well gotta get moving. I SOOOO want to go back to bed. Liz-hope you are feeling better today! Julie-hope the dog is better today too! Lynnette and Nina- woo hoo on the jobs!!! Annette-woo hoo on the engagement-can't wait to see the ring!!! Hope Terry Ann and Becky made it to Steph's. Prayers for safe travels for everyone headed out this weekend!!!

Alyssa, I know what you mean about the heat!  I've always hated that about Texas.  But if you want to live here, you gotta take the good with the bad!!

Good morning everyone!  Happy Friday!  Thank goodness, but there is no rest for the weary.  I'm gonig to be busy busy busy this weekend.  First I'm going to the peach festival in Weatherford.  Gotta get me some of those Parker County Peaches!!    I may try my hand at canning some!  Maybe!!  Don't know yet.And after my early morning trip to Weatherford, going to Azle to help mom do inventory on the fabric she has left.  Once we get that done, we're going to start cutting the yardage up into 1 yard cuts and fat quarter cuts and start bundling them for sale on her web site.  Some of that fabric is brand new (or was when she closed the store in December).  No one had bought any of it so there is quite a bit of fabric on some of the bolts.  She still has quite a bit of fabric left.

My woo hoo for today!!  I bought a bed!!  I finally bought a headboard and footboard.  It's an oak sleighbed that I found in a furniture store that is going out of business.  Shame, because he's been in business quite a long time.  He was originally in Azle, but he moved to 1221 Jacksboro Hwy near downtown at the corner of University.  Then when that building got sold, he moved to Haltom City.  (can you tell we talked for a bit! LOL)  He is a very nice older gentleman who is tired of pulling his retirement fund out to keep the business afloat!  I told him that mom was doing the same thing, which is why she isn't in business any more either!    Anyway, I'm going to have to clean my bedroom so I can get the new bed in.  Which means more than just a path to get to the bed now!!  LOL!!  Wish me luck!!

Steph terry becky whoever else will be here till one for sure after that it is up to the moveing company so happy thoughts that they get it together n show up n work fast so we don't have to leave during ruxh hour My good opion of the packers slipped a little when I relized the guy had packed my OPEN shampoos etc AND my pillows n blankets. Lucky I had stuff in the car but still that is the reason for the extra empty box-your bedding, shower curtains etc. Oh well if that is the biggest issue ill call it an awsome move Poor Rachel kept opening drawers n cabnits last night looking for stuff. She got REALLY unhappy when she got upstairs n her drawer in the bottom of daddys dresser-normally full of toys- was empty. We packed her all kinds of toys books etc I left my scale in the car last night if that tells u how teired I was LOL Have a great TGIF take good care or yourself n have fun at Stephs everyone Peace Danni
