A word of warning about your water consumption
I was in Houston today having a great day ... out running around to all my favorite shopping spots... drinking my Starbucks ... etc. When I picked up my Starbucks this morning I forgot to pick up my usual big bottle of water. All morning long I thought, I'm thirsty, I'll get some water soon. But, as the day went on I somehow never stopped and got any. Around 1 o'clock, I saw bottled water in a cooler at Marshall's and grabbed one 20 ounce bottle and sipped on it for a while. We left Houston around 4 o'clock headed back to CC. After about an hour in the car my legs started cramping so bad I was crying. Fortunately my husband was driving. After a few minutes I realized that the cramps were from dehydration. We stopped at the next available store and bought a banana and about 40 ounces of water. I ate the banana, took 2 Tylenol, chug-a-lugged the first bottle of water, and walked around unitl the cramping let up. We continued our trip home and and finished another bottle of water. We ended up stopping again for more water (and a pit stop).
This is just to remind you ... this hot weather makes it even more important to drink your water. Don't let it slide because you're busy or distracted. It's not worth it. Dehydration is extremley painful and can be more serious than that. If you do get dehydrated and crampy, a banana will help with the leg cramps. It's an old trick I learned in Girl Scouts. The potassium in bananas acts quickly to alleviate the discomfort. But the bottom line is ... DRINK YOUR WATER.

Thanks for the reminder Vicki! I haven't been paying as much attention to water as I should and was getting close to the dehydration edge! LOL! My hubby and I started training for a 5K in September and I couldn't figure out why I was so nauseous all the time. Well, a bottle of water later and I feel much better! Thanks again for the reminder!
