OT-- surprised trip to New Orleans--need ideas

well i got a surprise visit from my bf last night... he is taking me to new orleans this weekend... he even wants to take my bike down there .. he never wants to ride the bike with me... he already booked the room..

what i would like to know... any great eating spots... night life places...  i have no idea what to do down there... its our first time for the both of us to go to N.O..

any suggestions would be soooooooooooooooooo helpful...

Muriel's just off of Jackson Square.  Excellent food/service. There is a dress code, but they're not frou-frou. Just yummy cooking and great service.

for nightlife, there's always Bourbon street.  Since you're still early out on the RNY, be especially careful if you drink. To this day, I go from Ok buzzed to ridiculously wasted in a very quick and somewhat unpredictable manner.

Stacie, I got your PM unfortunately I'm not real familiar with NO, I know I should be but believe it or not I've only been to NO about 4 times in my life maybe just 3.

There are so many good food choices there, check with the hotel and get suggestions from them of places close to where you are staying.  The hotel we stayed in last time had some of the best seafood I've ever eaten.
