question (pasadena meeting)
I'll be there as long as the plant doesn't come up with some emergency!
Today I was working back in the I/O room where all the huge cabinets of computers that control 1/3 of the chemical plant are located. I crossed my legs (couldn't use to do that!) and *bumped* the server in front of me with my steel toed boots. It was just a tap and suddenly I heard all the fans in the cabinets go quiet and all the alarms going off as an entire section of the plant was shutting down. Now I *KNEW* there was no way me bumping that server shut anything down since the server was still running and it had nothing to do with the other systems, but it freaked me out anyway. I high-tailed it into the control room and every monitor was blank. About that time the guys working on the UPS (battery back up for the control system) came in and said they accidentally tripped it while working on it. Soooo.... I spent the next few hours getting everything running again.
So as long as i can kept the workers away from the UPS system I will be there!

I would like to join you all. This would be my 1st time and could use a little help with where. I know where Pandera Bread is by the Kohl's and Toys R Us. Corner of Beltway 8 and Fairmont Parkway? Is that the right one?
I also was needing the date or weekday schedule that the meetings are on? Every Monday or how often?

We meet the 2nd Monday of the month so next Monday at 7 is our meeting. Come early if you want; I usually get there a little early and grab a bite to eat.

I'll be there too! I usually get there at 6:30 and order a drink or food and settle in before it gets started at 7. I always look forward to the second Mondays because of this group.
We also usually do something the 4th Saturday morning of the month. This month I think it is actually going to be a pool party in the afternoon at Francis's house. Sean will post the details on our group website when they are finalized. I may even get my husband to come. He doesn't like to wear a bathing suit in public, but I told him that this is one group of people that aren't going to judge him on his looks.
