Monday Morning Weigh In
Last week: 183
Today: 180
Loss for the week: -3
Total loss: -83
My "get off the diabetes meds" thing is still in the experimental stage. My morning blood sugar has gone up without the pills, but not so much that I am ready to concede defeat. My highest blood sugar reading was 141 (this morning, after stupidly scarfing a homemade brownie last night). I'll give it another week and see what happens.
A little "wow moment" this weekend: I realized that the reason my underwear was bunching up under my clothes was that it was too big. So I bought myself a new panty wardrobe yesterday, all in size 7. I have not worn size 7 underwear since I was an undergraduate. Even then I knew the brands that ran bigger and had to stick with them.
I've also found that my ring size is down to an 8. I can now wear all the jewelry a "normal" woman can wear; no more asking for more links in my watch bands, etc.
These things still give me inordinate amounts of pleasure. After 6-1/2 months you'd think I'd be used to them. I don't think I will ever take them for granted. I spent most of my life with my nose pressed up against the windows of all the stores full of pretty things I couldn't wear. Now I'm like a kid in a candy store ... hope my job holds out, because the candy store is not cheap!
I didn't do it last week, but did weigh in this morning at at 259.
So far to go, and working out like a mad woman trying to make some progress.
Having to post may help me hold myself more accountable.
