Happy 4th!!!
Well im certaintly paying for my sleeping late yesterday. I havent been to sleep yet! GRRRRRR . I live in harris county.. not in the city of houston (even tho i have a houston addy) so its way legal to shoot fireworks out here. Soooo my neighbors have had them going alll night. Now.. my weird azz dogs LOVE to sit in the back yard and watch them. I have NO idea what they are seeing but they are both fascinated by them. Now, they do NOT like to be out front.. but want to be in the back yard. Whatever lol.
So hopin everyone has a great day.. Wishing i was enjoyin the day with my peeps! But will see yall next weekend. 

ok so you know the drill.. Make sure to stay hydrated! Its really hot out there, Get the protein in,, vits etc. 
ALSO, if you are playing with fireworks, please be safe.

Ugh, I'm up and NOT because I wanted to be.  The song "It's 5 o'clock somewhere" has an entirely different meaning to me.  Geez, I wish my internal clock didn't wake up everyday around 5.  Some days I can sleep in later (6 - 6:30 is later, lol) but today, noooooo.  Add to the fact, Conner slept with me last night since Cutter wasn't home and he, for some odd reason, was pulling my hair while he slept.

Oh well, I have around 25 people coming over later so it's probably best I get started with everything.  We are grilling out today and having a regular ole family fest, should be fun.....and exhausting, haha.

Not sure if fireworks will happen tonight, I haven't heard there was a ban but one of the neighbors said they aren't allowed because of the lack of rain and I didn't hear them going off last night so I bet there is, I'm not breaking the law and buying them.

GOOD MORNING! I wish I was still sleeping-I always wake early, but then I can fall back asleep usually if I get up for a little while, so hopefully I can before its time to go to RNS. I went to sleep pretty early last night. Took Bryan to Costco so we could walk around and we found a few things. Then to El Fenix for dinner.
Not much planned for today. We can't do fireworks here either but I wouldn't mind getting some sparklers. I don't think we'll be fined for sparklers. We'll see.
I got a bonus at work-found out yesterday and I'll see it in August. So that's good. Nice to think they still like me that much after 12 years. lol. It was really quiet at work and the drive was nice both ways, so it wasn't too bad to have to work.

Good  morning fellow insomniacs!!  Yup, I'm awake too, BUT it's cuz Clay and I decided to go donate to the Indian Relief Fund in Oklahoma.  We know the casino will be nuts later on, so we want to get there early.

We went to Sam's last night and bought a water misting fan for the backyard.   Can't wait to try it out.  I think this afternoon might be a good time.  I also went to Tom Thumb and bought briskets.  I think we'll cook 4 this year instead of 5 like last year. 

Everyone have a wonderful Fourth of July and remember our servicemen and women who gave their lives so we could enjoy all the freedoms that we have.  Please drive safely if you go anywhere and remember I love you.

Happy Fourth!!  I have to call my brother today and wish him a Happy Birthday, he's a little firecracker.  Heading over to the in-laws today for a BBQ/swim party.  No swimming for me, and lots of rest still. Should be fun, though I wanted to try out a new mock potato salad recipe, but I'm not up to dealing with it yet.  Perhaps next weekend for Steph's BBQ.

I did manage to go out to the dinner last night, had a good time, food was great and of course hanging with my friends was the best.  It definitely wore me out and I went straight to bed when I got home.  BTW Liz, the Advil is a god send!  Thank you so much for the suggestion, that's actually making me feel better than the narcotics, go figure.

Ok, need to get my protein shake in, pack up my meds and make an omelet for later.  Hope everyone has a fantastic day.  Stay hydrated and have lots of fun!

After HOURS of work, I finally got the  purple castle cake finished.  I'll get DD to take a picture and try to figure out how to put it on here.  I think it turned out right cute!  Caroline is going to LOVE it!! And that's all that really matters.  They think MiMi can do ANYTHING!!!  Little do they know!  Hope everyone has a wonderful 4th.  Special prayers for our past and present servicemen (and women).  So many have made the ultimate sacrifice for us.  Thank God I live in the good old USA.

Good Morning Liz and the rest of my TMB Family,

Happy 4th of July to all.  I hope everyone has fun days planned with family and friends.  If I was back in MA we would be getting together with my Mom and Dad and the rest of the family.  Maybe next year.  We are planning to take Eric to the movies this afternoon and then he has decided he wants to see the fireworks so either he and Mark will go to Burk and see them or we will all go.  I am not much of a fireworks person so will see how I feel later.  We went last night looking for a free standing full length mirror for me but could not find one anywhere.  Ended up getting one that Mark can put on the back of the door.  We also went to Olive Garden for dinner.  Mark and I always share a dish when we go there.  I could just live on their salad.  I had to make a pretty hard decision over the last couple of days and it was not easy but I have decided that we can not make Stephs BBQ next weekend.  It just comes at a really bad time for us, Eric will just be getting back from camp, I made a commitment a long time ago to teach VBS and that is the day we are setting up as it starts the next day.  I PROMISE though that I will come up for a RNS or something before we leave, we just cant do it this weekend.  I am really sorry.  Prayers for all those in need this morning.  Have a safe and blessed 4th.  I love you guys.  Michelle
