Cleaning Fail

Apparently I didn't realize how big of a mess my dogs do make..
and..

well..

The parents are spending the next 3 nights at the Westin Element.. in which I got it 55% off each night :)

at least now they don't have to sleep on an air mattress.. :)

And I can stop having panic attacks about my baseboards and calk lines lolol.

Okay, you really need to let it go now.  Aren't you about to have surgery?  Take a few deep breaths and forget about the things you have left unfinished. 

Your parents are here because they love you and they want to support you and help you during this time.  They aren't here to judge your homemaking skills.

I give you permission to not worry one more minute about it and don't spend the time they're here aplogizing about it.  If you really must, make a few comments to them about it and then let it go.

My parents are actually having a cleaning party with me in the morning... :) It was good.
We spent all day by the pool at the Westin Element.. it was nice.. relaxing.. and we mapped out our plan of action for adopting out one of our shih tzus...

so everything is calm and at ease

My Mom had a friend who always said she told her kids if they wrote their name in the dust on the furniture to NOT DATE IT! 

Of course...... she was the one who always told her kids to go "play on the freeway"  J/K - she was a good Mom with a wonderful sense of humor !!!!

 OMG.  I was the same way last year just before my mom got here for my surgery(s...  had more than one...  LOL).  It was all good.  Dad was Mr. Fixit and Mom cleaned like crazy (and I know she doesn't do that so much at home).  She said it made her feel like she could do something for me since she doesn't get to see me all the time.  Isn't that sweet?

Relax and enjoy their support.  :)

Yup both re  coming over right now to help me with my floors.. so that's a good feeling.. :)

And the hotel was sooo nice.. it was a sign from God or whoever to get it because everything was so perfect and it was so cheap..

And.. no air mattresses.. :) lolol but after surgery they are staying here... until I'm up and moving...

We've also decided to find a home for one of the shih tzus too..... three is probably too many.. and one of them would be perfect for an older couple...
