Friday WLS express

Good Morning!  My "I'm gonna sleep in this morning" amounts to nada; unless we count 6:15 as sleeping in *sigh*.

Heading over to MILs house in a bit to pick figs, then I have to clean house (downstairs at least) since I'm having family over tomorrow for lunch.  We are BBQing, my Dad's side of the family that we rarely see.  Some of them have never seen our house, can't let them see it this way, lol. 

We are going to get fireworks today also for tomorrow.  I hate popping fireworks but enjoy watching them, my boys love it.  Gonna have to convince someone to help out, that won't be hard as there will be 8 teenage boys here.

wow, will you check this out??? I am actually up and posting on the train. Can't tell you how long it has been since I have done this.
I am off of my office job today but have been out of town and sick for a few days so I have lots of homework LOL to do. I have started my laundry and have to get everything back in order if possible today so I have the rest of the weekend to play or what ever.
I hope that anyone who is traveling will be safe.. we are going to watch the fireworks in Midlothian tonight and then I think I will jus****ch the pops on tv tomorrow night because Niel Diamond is doing a concert there. Should be pretty cool.... I hope.
Well, that is about it for me.. I am well on my way to recovery from my illness and looking forward to the BBQ next weekend.

WOW !! I've been awake since 6am....UP since 630...so much for sleeping in !!  lol

Well - I decided to go work at 3rd job today for a few hours and take advantage of being off work from job#1...Insurance office is closed today....
I'll go in early this afternoon to my 2nd job....several banks that we process for will be closed today - so hopefully will be out by 9ish ?      One can only hope !!

FIREWORKS?    I wasn't the brave kid.....when I was a kid - the big thing was  lighting those suckers and then throwing them..........................NOT ME !!!     NO WAY - NO HOW !!
I was even a little intimidated by holding the old fashioned  sparklers....................FIRE WAS NOT MY THING.....A PYROTECHNIC PERSON I AM NOT !!      But I'll stand by and watch the pros do it for me !!     OH  I liked those black things too....I think that they called them "snakes"........then they left a BLACK MARK and ashes all over the place......parents hated those things !! 

I hope to get up  - maybe go see the parade in downtown Irving tomorrow morning..............chill out by a swimming pool tomorrow afternoon and then James and I will go visit his sister and take her to see a fireworks show in Duncanville area......................

We loved the black snakes too-my dad would make sure we had scrap wood to light them on so it didn't stain the concrete in the garage! I was always afraid of sparklers but did them anyway. Now I want to go get some... lol.
The parade in Irving is fun- we used to go every year when we lived in Irving.

Been up and at 'em for awhile now.  Have the first series of cakes made for the "Purple Castle Cake" for Caroline's birthday tomorrow a.m.  DD is off and they are taking the kids to the zoo early so I can have the entire morning to do the cake.  Last batch in the oven as we speak.  Then, after cooling, I have to start assembly.  Fun, Fun :)  Had a nice swim in DD's pool late yesterday.  Hope everyone that's is off has an enjoyable day.  Thankful you are doing o.k. Good morning.  These summer days sure are seeming to fly by for me!  I didn't get a lot accomplished other than going to the grocery store, putting an inversion table together that I bought and trying it out, and finishing a book I was reading.  I have to get more accomplished...I've had 3 days of "relaxing"...need to make a little progress each day.

Today I'm going to get my hair cut.  This being to my shoulders and getting in my face is driving me crazy.  My goal was to be able to have a ponytail at the beach and I did, so now I can wack it off!

I HAVE to get Ben's sr. scrapbook finished today.  That's my goal...I just haven't been in the mood, but will make myself so I can move on to other projects!

Prayers for Debbi T. to rest and recover as well as Faith  and Liz and Cindy.

Morning Everyone.....it is NOT a good AM for me though.   Hubby is walking the picket line this AM for Bell's strike.   I was sitting her at the computer ( flash back from about 7 weeks ago ) and yep you guessed it....heard the same hissing noise as before.    And yes....same as before....water pouring out from under my kitchen sink !!!!   Thank GOD this time...my son was home and it was cold and not ho****er !!!!    UGH !!!!  Thank God also I have tile floors too now.   Son did cut the water off for me in 2 places.   LOL   Now I have floors to mop and towels on the floor everywhere.   I am about ready to throw this darn kitchen faucet as far as I can and go buy another one.    In fact my hubby may tell me to go and get a different faucett....This one has been a TOTAL NIGHTMARE !!!!

Good monring!  I got to sleep in this morning.  I'm loving it!  Tomorrow we are going to the parental units house and doing BBQ with some friends.  We'll probably get in to an argument so I'm going to prepare myself now!

Therese is in the shower washing Bandit, my poodle.  He is looking really ragged!  He needs to be professionally groomed!  Poor thing!

I feel bad for all you that cant sleep in.  I did not get up till 7:30 and for me that is late.  Had not planned on doing much today but Mark still has a few things to do at the other house and he has asked me to come and help so guess that is where I will be this morning.  Hoping to do Mexican for lunch.  Plans for the 4th is to take Eric to the movies to see the new Ice Age movie, and who knows what else.  Ok my family is waiting on me to finish getting ready so we can head out.  Prayers for Deb as she continues to heal, and for everyone else in need.  Have a blessed day.  Love you guys.  Michelle

Morning all, I slept in until 7:00 which is late for me.  Actually got 8 hours thanks to my bottle of Phenergan.  I was trying for 9 but no way.  DD just left for Tulsa to see Mr Wonderful for a week and Clay's about to go play golf, so I will have the house to myself today. 

Need to start getting ready for the BBQ but just don't have any "mo" in this heat.  I did post the food list and address so check em out. 

We tried out Clay's new grill last night with the "sear burner".  OMG, I swear those were the best steaks ever.  Could also be cuz they were "choice" meat from Central Market, yummy. 

I think we've decided to go to the casino tomorrow for a day of gambling instead of going to any BBQ's or parties.  We won't stay late for sure cuz I know it will get crowded later on.
