GOOD MORNING! Its the 3rd of July! Almost time for our country's Independence Day! Grab a sparkler and hop on the train!

Well most of you are off today, but I have to work. That's the state for you- if the holiday doesn't fall during the week, then we don't get the day off. Hopefully traffic will be good today. Getting home yesterday was harder-lots of folk****ting the road for the holiday.
We don't have plans for the weekend. Rise and Shine tomorrow morning-that's about it. What are you guys doing for the 4th? Anyone going to see fireworks anywhere? Or are you going to do your own? I grew up in the country and we always did our own fireworks. I miss that.

Good Morning Alissa & TMB!

I am recovering from surgery very nicely.  Many, many thanks to all of your for your prayers and well wishes.  My follow up appointment is today at 1:00 p.m.  I just hope that most of the drainage will occur by tomorrow morning because I chose not to tell anyone in my family that I was having surgery.  I did the same for the TT.  I told them afterwards.  If all of the drainage has not occurred it means I will have to tell them because I will need to take towels etc to sit on so it does not stain any furniture and I will be dressed in all black so you can't see the stains on my clothing.  Which means I will have to take an extra set of black clothes for a back up. 

We are celebrating 4th of July at my sister's in Lake Charles tomorrow.  We have our own fireworks display that we put on which is loads of fun.   I believe we started this tradition last year and it looks like we will be doing it from now on.

Alissa, that's weird because in the paper yesterday, they said that state workers got Friday off because the holiday was on Saturday!  Wonder why you don't get it off?

The paper was incorrect- I"ve got the state holiday chart in front of me and trust me, its not a state holiday.

Good morning Alissa!!  Ouch, that's about all I can say for this particular hernia.  I'll definitely be resting more today.  I never knew how much I used the lower ab muscles before really, but can tell every time right now.  Luckily my doc gave me some good meds and Jeff is being great about helping out.  My plan for today is hanging out on the sofa, cross stitching, reading and hopefully going to the dinner in McKinney tonight.

Tomorrow we're heading over to my in-laws for the 4th of July parade and their annual BBQ.  I think this year I'll pass on watching the parade.  While I'd love to see it, I don't think sitting out in 100 degree weather on a folding chair would be a wise choice.  So, I'll hang at the house, chat and rest there.

Ok, I'm heading back to the sofa car now.  I'll have my cell phone with me if anyone wants to text and chat.  Stay super hydrated again today!

course Gina's prolly ready to smack me since i was texting with her about her patient from h*ll and i conked out on her and for once didnt wake up 2 hours later!

no way - ok I will get up early aftert staying up late a few more nights if it will get you some sleep :)
