Thursday WLS Express

GOOD MORNING! Its Friday for alot of folks, not me though, so hop on and enjoy the ride today! We'll be serving sugar free red,white, and blue snacks today! ALL ABOARD!

Morning everyone! I'm jealous of those who get a 3 or 4 day weekend due to the holiday. I don't because the 4th falls on a Sat. and with the state, the holiday has to fall on a weekday to get it. Oh well, it should be quiet tomorrow I suppose at work.
Prayers said today for Faith and Deb's surgeries.
I'm running late today-need to take care of some stuff around the house, so that's about it from here. Hope everyone has a great day today!!!

Ok, that's just not right.  A holiday is a holiday and you should get it!  If you're not working on the holiday, then the day before is your holiday!  You need to come into the federal system!  You'd get it then!

Well, I went to see my new back doctor and I gotta tell you, I like him!!  Wow!  Too bad I didn't find him earlier!  But things happen for a reason!!  He was very reassuring.  He told me I will always have permanant restrictions, I can get a bid, but they HAVE to accomodate me.  So I'm always gonna be IOD.  Sucks, but I also have more protections with this status.  I guess there are plusses and minusses with everything!! 

But I did talk to one of the nurses about WLS and she wants it really bad!  But neither her or her husbands insurance pays for it.  She said that they talked about getting private insurance but when they talked to them, they said that they have certain criteria that they didn't match.  Evidently people have been getting private insurance just to get "the surgery they want" and then dropping the insurance, so they are leery of people buying it, I don't know, I didn't understand everything she was saying.  But she's going to keep my phone number and call me if she has any questions.  I told her about the Rise N' Shine, so she may show up.

Unlike Alissa, I do get a three day weekend.  Tomorrow a friend and I are going to go west on 20 to a little town that has a castle and take a look at their museum.  Evidently they used to be a pretty nice little coal mining town, and now there are only 50 people there, but they do the best with what they have, and we're going to go take a look.  Just to see what's there!

Good Morning Alissa & TMB!

TODAY IS THE DAY! 

The doctor called me last night at around 9:00 p.m. which was unexpected and thoughtful.  There will be two doctors performing the surgery and I am familiar with the lady doctor and unfamiliar with him.  He just wanted to check in with me to see how I was feeling.  I told him that I had an array of emotions going on and he told me to RELAX.  I will be leaving at around 8:00 a.m. to go in for my PS.  I really appreciate the support that I get from all of you.  As Alissa has so graciously requested, please keep me in your prayers today.  I will check in this afternoon once I have returned home. Prayers for your surgery today Faith.  I know you'll be happy you did it.  Any surgery is scary.  Get plenty of rest when you come home today!  Take care of yourself.

I'm hopping on this morning before life gets in the way.  Work is SUPER busy, not complaining I'm so thankful to have a job.  Just no time to play with my friends during the day, exhausted by the time I get home so I've read some but not much posting.

Alissa, I'm off tomorrow BUT we've been informed that our holidays may be taken away next year if they fall on the weekend, stupid IMO but someone pissed off the boss and he's old and cranky.

Tomorrow will be spent picking figs and canning them, I love doing this.  Next year we'll be planting a huge garden so I can can things.......call me old, haha, I remember my grandma doing this when I was a young child. 

Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend, I'll be spending it with family which is always fun!

Dana I love figs! I don't think they grow around her? I'm going to plant box gardens next year. Did not get around to it this year. Just a tomato and pepper plant in a planter.

Good Morning Alissa and My TMB Family,

Had such a nice day yesterday with the boys.  We spent most of the day at the pool.  They had a blast and that was the whole reason for going.  I am a little sunburned, but it will turn to tan in the next day or so.  They want to go again today but not sure if I am up to it or not.  Really thinking I need a day at home to do laundry, maybe a little baking but we will see.  Mark is off for the long weekend.  I think he going over to the house tonight to finish painting.  We are planning to take Eric to the movies on the 4th to see the new Ice Age movie in 3D.  It will be fun.  He leaves for camp on Monday so will have to spend some of the weekend getting him ready for that.  Not buying all new stuff like I did last year.  He did not come home with hardly anything that he left with, in fact he came home with other peoples stuff so this year it is stuff he already owns and that way if it does not come home it is not a big deal.  Not sure what I will do all week without him, but I am sure I will find something.  Lately been pretty happy to be at home, reading my book, or watching a good movie.  Becoming a recluse in my old age.  Oh well.  Guess that is all from my end.  Prayers for those in need this morning.  Have a blessed day.  Love you guys.  Michelle
