First they took away my Vioxx, now it's Vicodin - hope I don't have any major pain soon!

double glad I did not toss that bottle of leftover meds from Tim's last surg - WHY are they banning them - abuse? adiction?

Apparently they've been linked to liver damage.

From what I've read, right now it's just a recommendation to the FDA from outside sources.  The FDA is not bound to follow those recommendations.  It's all because the "tylenol" in them can cause liver damage.  Well maybe docs shouldn't prescribe so many at one time.  They are also recommending that extra strength Tylenol be available by RX only so you might want to run out and buy some now.

We give Percocet to nearly every single patient on our unit.  It is by far the best pain killer out there.  I pray they don't ban it.

It really doesn't make sense.  It is about the tylenol, not necessarily the narcotics.  They recommended a warning on the tylenol, but removal of vicoden.   I think they should both be the same...either removal or stronger warnings.
