OT: Do you want a public healthcare option for all?
While we are on the subject of medical insurance..........
How about eliminating SEPARATE insurance for my eyes and teeth? Are they not part of my body? I pay for 3 separate insurance policies out of my paycheck for medical, dental and vision coverage and deal with 3 different entities which I think is ridiculous.

NO.. the insurance companies already 'practice medicine' enough. i certaintly dont want the govt doing it. My PCP is forever grumbling *dont blame him* at every visit, having to look up what meds he can prescribe or procedures etc. All due to insurance guidelines.
I worked for a state funded STD/women's heath clinic for 5 years. While the patients got TOP NOTCH healthcare, i was disgusted at the abuse of it.
I had to self pay my surgery. I worked for a major hospital system at the time that preformed the surgery and our insurance would not cover it for employees. Can i use that 20k now.. HELL YES but i would do it again if i had too. So yes i get pissed at people on 'disability' running all over the place, partying all night, have their nails and toes done.. and all the other perks of being on 'disability' while, like a lot of folks here', i live paycheck to paycheck.
So, while i got a lil off track, NO i think the govt is in enough of my business as it is

My evil sister is on disability! She had to have her leg loped off because she let the same surgeon do the same surgery on the same foot 9 times and never followed his instructions for after care!!! She has told people including my friends that she could go back to work but why should she when she can make more money and have better benefits on disability.!! Do not even get me started on her grocery list of misuses of the sytem because it would take me days and my fingers would get tired!!!
