I AM IN SEVERE PAIN !!!!!!!!

OK everyone....I am looking for some answers right now. I am in severe pain....lower right front side of my body. OUCH it HURTS BIG TIME !!!!! Is there anyone out there who has experienced anything that sounds like this. It is piercing pain. I am here at home all alone right now. I have been hurting like this for about ahour. I am waiting to see if it is gas pains. What is so bad is with my hubby being on strike....our insurance is NOT in affect !!! I do think that he did say something about the Union covering us with something while he is on strike. He is off with his Mom and won't be home for about 45 minutes to a hour. I am praying it will be gas and go away. I apprecaiate any and all feedback.

Thanks Yvonne....the pain has finally started to go away some. I did look on the internet and that is the side where your appendix is located on. What worries me about having pains like that so severe is a friend how had RNY had her intestines twist and part of it die and she was in severe pain. If she hadn't gone to the dr. when she did...she would have probably died. I will go to the hospital or doctor's office if I need to and just deal with what happens because of my husband being on strike with his job. Thanks for the input. If anything else happens.....I will post it....as for now....it is getting better so I am praying it was major gas pains !!!

Viv, Can you lift your knee to your chest ,or there abouts when you are laying down? If you can do this kind of move ment without the pain getting worse it probably is not your appendics. It could be gas--do you have any gas-x or beano?? If it has not improved call Dr Kim for other ideas! Luv ya,

Meggie...the pain is almost gone now. Thank God for that. It was so severe it was kinda scaring me. I can put my knees to my chest without pain now. ...not sure if I could before that though when I was hurting bad. Gee...Meggie...you gotta get better !!! WOW I hated posting that about how I was feeling but just couldn't figure it out. Guess it was gas pains !!! LOL Heck it has gotten to where every pain I have I blame on gas. LOL I did take some Gas X and that is a staple thing around my house !!! Won't leave home without it !!! LOL

If this pain comes back and intensifies, it very well may be your appendix. I had my appendix removed in 1999 and the pain would come and go and then started moving to my belly button and to the left side. When I finally went to the ER they said that is was definetly my appendix but did an ultra sound to be sure. Sure enough, and hour later I was in surgery.
If it starts up again, you should call your dr. immediately.

Thanks for the information Deborah. I have been experiencing these pains off and on for sometime now. I always passed it off as gas pains since it would always leave me...but yesterday it was really intense !!! Hopefully my husband's job will quit the strike this weekend and go back to work next week. If that happens...I am heading for my doctor's office and get them to check it out. Thank you so very much for replying.

I agree w/ Deborah - if it comes back - CALL THE DOCTOR.

In April 2008 - I had periodic really severe pains in the right lower half of my body for a couple of days - but figured it was gas. Then on Saturday morning - I was in the kitchen and the pain sent me to my knees and it stayed. Finally come Sunday morning - husband took me to doctor's office - who immediately sent me to hospital - ruptured appendix and if I had waited about 12 more hrs. I would have been dead.

I did NOT have insurance at that time, but the hospital can not refuse treatment.

Oh Anne.....thank GOD your husband took you to the hospital when he did. Trust me....I am NOT one that sits around and waits for things to happen ( such as the appendix's bursting ). I will get it checked out trust me on that one.
