surgeon suggestions in Houston

I want to have the VSG procedure, and the facility I'm working with in Louisiana will not return my phone calls.  I am going self-paid and need to have it done in July before I go back to work at the end of the month.  I have family in Houston, so I want to check out some surgeons there.

Who has had VSG done in Houston (which surgeon did it), and if it was a fast process, please let me know.

I haven't had it but I noticed that my surgeon, Garth Davis, is now doing that procedure.

Dr St Laurent in Houston - can get you in pretty quickly if you are self-pay  and he had a great reputation.

I had the sleeve procedure down 6 weeks ago.  My surgeon was Dr. Vadim Sherman, he does surgery at St. Lukes in the Medical Center.  He is a great doctor!

I love Dr. Davis.  It takes a while to get in for the first appointment.  I know they were scheduling July dates four weeks ago but it wouldn't hurt to call and see.

Dr. Carlos Ferrari is in Houston. I am having a RNY with him, but, one of my friends on the OH forum did self pay with him for her VSG and was very, very pleased with him. I think the process may be quicker with his office than some other offices.

He's worth checking out. You can search with his name on this site and find over 200 patient testimonials.

I would also recommend Garth he is awesome!

Dr. Marvin does VGS.  I had RNY with him and I love him!! His office staff is great too.  Once I was approved for surgery, he did it within 2 weeks, xo I would imagine self pay would be as quick.  His PA had the sleeve in March.

I didn't have the VSG, but I know my surgeon, Dr. Matthew St. Laurent, does them and he is pretty awesome IMO. As someone else said before, he can get you in pretty quick if you are self-pay.

I know when I was approved for the Lap-Band, it was on a Tuesday....and he was ready to schedule me for surgery the next week.
