I am 28 days out and I haven't even tried pasts yet. I was told to wait at least 6 weeks before even trying because they swell so much. But I can't even eat a half of a chicken breat in one setting I couldn't imagine that you would be able to eat very many noodles for it to count that much. If you want to try maybe just a couple of noodles with the meatballs just to get the taste but not enough to do any damage. Remember to eat the protien first. you may find you don't have room for anything else. I know once I eat some of my protein and get that pressure feeling and I don't eat again for several hours. It seems all I eat these days is Protein. Everything I eat has a high protein value because I having a hard time with the protein drinks. I can't wait until I can eat all of my protein and not have to drink it.
I did have one episode where I ate something that didn't agree with me and I didn't find out until I had to much of it and it was either going to go down or come up and it came up and I felt instantly better. The pain was gone but it took all my energy and I had to go to bed. SO I understand being scared! I am very very careful that I don't take in to much at one time. But the thing about pasta is you won't know it is too much until it is too late because initially when it goes down it isn't a lot but then it swells. I would think error on the side of caution and stay away for now.
But I will tell you that I switched a lot time ago to barilla pasta and no one in my family noticed so it must taste the same. I have very picky eaters. 2 five year olds and a 12 year old.
That is my 50 cents.
