Monday WLS Express
Susan,
I know first hand how difficult it is to deal with a Mother with dementia. My Mother became some one other than herself and it is so hard to deal with and watch. You feel so helpless and get mad at yourself for having the feelings you sometimes have. I lost my Mother a little over two years ago to Alzheimer's. It was the most awful thing I've ever been through including my divorce after a 33 yr. marriage. Hang in there. I'm here if you need to chat.
Blessings,
Carol

Let it out honey!! It is better out than in!! Just consider it talk therapy!
I ahve a very critical Mother who is a wonderful martyr!! She is brilliant witty and an amazing women. Noone I know can make me feel belittled , a failure, and worthless better than she can. She is very successful and is admired by all who know her but is Queen of the guilt trip! She does not have dementia!!
Just try to do what I try to do!! She needssome one to blame. when mama is unhappy no one can be happy. Just try to remember these are her problems. you know you did nothing wrong and you knowing it is what is important!!
Hang in there and go with your strength!

Thanks Meggie!!
Just have to ask....do we have the SAME mother?? That was my Mom before the possible dementia got added in. Lemme tell ya....it's even harder now than it was before. At least then, I knew the "rules" and could navigate the usual mine field of going home. Now, there are no rules and I never know what I might say that will set her off again. NOT FUN.... Oh well...
Adding you to my TX SOS testing list for when I'm home. I THINK I have your number....have to go check. :)
