Ok guys I have some questions about intake...

1) about how many carbs are ok per meal
2) how do I go about getting fiber without overdoing the carbs

The scale hasn't moved so now I am questioning if I am some how getting in too many carbs......do you guys have a formula or something to figure out if the carb content is okay? Thank you soooo much!!!

you are still early out so you should just be focused on protien

I use the 1 per 10 formula and just count protien - each 10 cals should have 1 gram of protien - or close to it to be counted as a high protien food
I was taught - eat 2 bites of protien, one of fruit or veggie then one of carbs, repeat once - at least early out for your "meals" but your snacks can/should be protien shakes or high protien

as for fiber - lets see if we can get the move em out muffins posted - gina? terry?
I TRY to avoid prosessed carbs - whole wheat, brown rice, oatmeal, stuff like that are less or non prossesed carbs and have more fiber

veggies and fruit (if tolorated) are high fiber

water will move you out if that is why you are worried about fiber - just ask if that is the problem, many differnt solutions but most of us deal with bowel issues - either to many movements, not enough or a combo

I have found that evne taking my vits and getting my shakes in if I wake up and first thing before I eat ANYTHING I get in as much water /cl/tea as I can then I can get more water in (always a plus in the texas heat) AND my bowels move much nicerly (I think I just made up a word - oh well)

if you are "all stopped up" stop and pick up some fleets enams - not fun but beats the heck out of the alternitive - or there are glycerine (sp?) suppositorys some swear by

You are still newly post op.  It is very normal to not lose when you are a few weeks out.  They body is just trying to catch up and adjust to what it's been through.  I didnt lose anything from weeks 2-5.  Like others have said focus on your protein intake first and foremost.  If you are doing what you surgeon has said to do you are probably ok.  Don't let the stall bother you.  Take your measurements and see if you are losing inches during this time.  I stalled at least 7 days out of each month and that is when I would lose the most inches every month.
