Thank you.  I look forward to Mondays now.  I still get on the scale daily but one reason is for the Home Health Nurse that is still coming to pack the incision site.  It is almost healed, thank God.
Have a wonderful week,
DeborahL.

Ok, it isn't much but I'll take it LOL.  I actually was UP over a pound earlier in the week and my husband told me I didn't "gain" weight - it was my skin soaking up all the humidity after being in Colorado for a week!  What a sweety!

WOOHOO!  I knew it would come off, but it is always a relief when it does.  Water weight sucks for everybody but women have to deal with it monthly.

Thirty-three pounds to go.  At this rate, it's going to take me until the end of the year.  When that thought occurred to me this morning, I felt really frustrated -- until I realized I'm in NO hurry, for so many reasons:

My diabetes is in much better control.  In fact, I've been having hypoglycemic episodes, so I'm ready to try eliminating the very small dose of oral diabetes meds I'm still taking.  My diabetes was THE one and only reason I had RNY, so that mission is all but accomplished!

I'm exercising almost every day and actually enjoying it.  A year ago, I would have guaranteed you that would never happen.  I'm seeing the results where it counts, ladies ... butt and thighs are getting smaller and (dare I say it?) firmer all the time.

My energy level is fantastic.  I used to sleep all the time and always felt tired.  Now I get upset if I "sleep in" past 5 a.m., because I have so much living to do every day.

I am wearing a size 14 and therefore can buy clothes almost anywhere I want.  (And they're a lot cheaper than the large sizes.)  Ladies' watches, rings, and bracelets fit me easily; I could never wear them before.  I can now wear 8-1/2B shoes, which I can buy anywhere, as opposed to the 9E shoes I used to have to order by mail.  These are HUGE accomplishments for me and, as a fashion junkie, significant improvements in my quality of life.

So ... if it takes me another two years to get to goal, that is just fine with me!  I am so damn happy right now.  Today.  In fact, it would be nice to get some wear out of my current "interim wardrobe."  I bought so many clothes on the way to this point, only to have them get too big after I'd only worn them two or three times.
