I'm a Florida girl and I am having surgery in TX!

Hey everyone! I am from Florida however I am traveling to Texas to hopefully have surgery. I hope to meet friends and get to know some of you Texans. My surgeon is Dr. Garth Davis and he is the greatest ever!!! I was looking for an Angel or someone close that may be able to visit me in the hospital. I have met some wonderful people already from TX like Brandi, Deedles and Poopiking. I am now in the waiting process. I submitted to the insurance company on Tuesday so now I am waiting on an answer. I called on Friday and the insurance company said my case was pending with a 07/31 date. So is that a good sign or what? I am really nervous at the moment and any support would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the Sunshine State...we have several transplants here from Virginia, Lousiana and we even had New Jersey yesterday.   It DOES sound like a good sign that your insurance has your case "pending" and a date in the NEAR FUTURE.  It's a very exciting time for you.  Start reading people's profiles to get a sense of their journey cuz it will help you to know what to expect.

Wow Amanda you have done Fabulous on your weight loss!!! Yes, Dr. Garth has been nothing but FANTASTIC!!! I can not wait to see him again!!! Thanks for all your kind words and support. I feel like I am going to be around the TX forum for a long time!!!

Make sure you let me know when you get a date so I can mark my calendar so I can do my best to come see you.                                     I will be seeing Dr. Garth this Thursday and of course you know I think he is the best.
