Congrats!  What a great outcome for you.  July 10th gives you a few days to get all your ducks in a row.  You've come to the right place for information and encouragement.  Come to the TMB anytime you need to ask a questions or just talk.  We've got lots of good people with lots of knowledge who are willing to share.

Football 2-a-days are going to be a challenge in this heat.  You'll have to make sure you stay hydrated and don't overdo it.  Didn't I see something in the news about UIL discouraging 2-a-days until the heat breaks somewhat?

Check out DWHESS's profile.  He's a coach in Sinton and may have some helpful advice for you.

Also, tell us a little more about you - like your name and what part of Texas you're in.  And get ready for the ride of your life.  You won't believe how good you're going to feel.

Fantastic!!  Your story encourages others to keep fighting.  Complete your profile with what type of surgery, your doc, your location and date and it will help us to answer your questions.  Get set for a wild ride!!!

Two years ????  WOW - congratulations for not giving up and succeeding !!!!!

It is a wild ride and the best thing I have ever done for myself.  You are going to feel SOOOO much better out on the field once you heal up and the weight starts dropping off.

Just take it easy at first - you need to heal and you will get back on the field quicker if you give yourself a little more time up front rather than pushing yourself and ending up back in the hospital.  It is much easier to get dehydrated early on because everything is swollen and it hurts to swallow.  I can chug a pretty good amount now that I am a year out, but for the longest time all I could do is sip.
