Good Morning TMB!!

Wow Bryan!!  I'm impressed!!  Not only are you recovering from surgery, you are driving the train all over to TX and even to AL (for Mari) and VA (for me)!!!  :)  Congrats on the surgery. Prayers for your speedy recovery.  I know you'll do great!

Nothing much going on here today.  MUST vac the floors and clean the bathrooms.  Hubby comes home tonight and I want the house looking nice when he comes in.  Plus, I don't want to spend my weekend cleaning.  Would rather get it out of the way today. 

Bought a new blouse yesterday for our special Patriotic service on Sunday.  I don't really like it, but I disliked it less than all the others I tried on....and it is an Anne Klein that I got for $15 vs the original $60, so that part made me smile.  Will try it on today with the rest of the outfit.  If it looks okay, I'll probably keep it.  If not, I'll be heading out to try and find something I like better and then to return this one.  I really HATE being forced to shop and that's how I feel about this purchase.  Oh well....

So, that's the "drama" from my house.  LOL  I pray this is all the drama I have for the next few weeks.  Really not looking forward to what might happen when I go to TN to see my parents.  Things are still not going well there.  Am wondering if I'm even going to be allowed to stay.....  My Mom is really angry with me right now and won't even talk to me on the phone.  Not sure HOW she will react when I show up in person....

I'm glad it's Friday but have a very busy weekend ahead.  It's all fun stuff but still, very busy all the same.  Stayed out too late last night on date night so kind of tired today.  But no boss in the office so that will make it easier.  : )

Getting my hair cut finally after work today.  Deb, I hope you liked Ashlee.  I have the same question as Danni.  If you are sleeping in tomorrow, does that mean we aren't walking at 6am.  I wouldn't mind sleeping in myself.  tee hee

GOOD MORNING!!! I haven't been up as much as Bryan all night, but I woke up quite a bit. Went on walks with Bryan, etc. I slept well from around 4-7am though which was good. The hospital is great. Staff is great. We have been treated very well. Everything is new, seeing as they've only been open 3 months. The cafeteria-well not as great as some cafeterias, but its okay. Supper was not great-just a few choices. BUt that's why Chipolte came to the rescue last night-just a quick drive.
So, Bryan and I were talking this morning while the tech was checking his vitals and Bryan said that Walter Cronkite was not expected to live through the weekend and she asked- Who is he? It just cracked me up as Bryan explained he was a former newscaster.
Bryan will go for his swallow test this morning and then hopefully he'll be able to drink liquids finally. Then hopefully home after that.

Congratulations Bryan !!!   WOO HOO !!!!!   So impressed with you being up early and driving the train too.   WOW !!!!   Hope you are feeling alright and good luck with that swallow test.   YUCK !!!   That is the ONE thing that I will NEVER forget about my hospital stay.    Glad that you are getting good treatement at Forest Park Medical Center.     Hope to see you and Alissa at Support Group this coming wednesday night at 6:30 Dr. Kim's office.     SO happy for you.

Good morning train riders...posting from home today.  Got a BIG DING on my annual evaluation at work for "too much personal computer time".  You tell me, what's the difference between me being on this website and others reading books, constantly texting or sitting around gossiping?  It really p*ssed me off cuz I NEVER ignore my patients for computer time.  Sorry for the rant, just needed to get it off my chest.  Probably no raises this year anyway so it's a moot point.

I got up way too early again today.  I was sitting in the hot tub by 6:45 then weeded my flower bed, did a load of dishes and fed all the animals  before I allowed myself computer time. 

I'm having lunch with Mel today.  I can't wait, I haven't seen her in a really long time.  Wishing and hoping for a speedy recovery for Bryan and just a recovery period for Liz and Que-man you guys have had it rough.

Good morning all!! Was off last night, so slept like a rock (sorry, LIZ)..have busy day/weekend ahead..today is my Corbin's birthday. He is no longer a teenager...For those of you who know him, and would like to, a birthday TEXT would thrill him..817-808-6132..If you put it on Face Book tell me and I'll try to show him how to use it (he's still mostly a My Space guy.

I'm taking Corbin and a few others to the water park in Cleburne today-going to meet TRACEY..she's bringing Dirk's girls..then home for Corbin's family dinner (Italian food..yikes..his fave restaurant)...tomorrow is DANNI's going away dinner, of course, then the after party at LORALEA's (thanks, LL and Jon!!)...Sunday is a family reunion in Waco, then hurry back to hopefully work Sunday night....whew....I think I'm making myself tired, just typing all that!

Congrats to our BRYAN...please do not OVER do too soon..I know you are excited and anxious..but...just be kind to your traumatized body, please.

Prayers to all our other brother and sisters in need. our Father knows who they are and what they need..that's all I have to know...

I LOVE Y'ALL AND THERE's NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT..well..maybe a thing or 2..but those things are sooooo isolated and KARMA will take care of those things...just sayin'...

trying not to over do it have been sipping since about 10 and they brought me liquid lunch which i had some of (was full from sipping) just w 30 ml of loratab and hoping to be discharged around 3:30 (dr came by earlier and saw no reason not to discharge me. Making the walking loop about once every 90 min. Since the hospitol only has 1 floor of rooms ussually do 2 laps. spent most of today out of bed cause the chairs feel better than the bed on my back. Was down 36 lbs on yestewrdays weigh in with my jean shorts and tinnis shoes on so more than likely closer to 40lbs preop, now just have to hide how much I lose cause i know you women hate the way us guys seem to lose weight quicker. And well since all of you are my family can not have you perturbed at me.

Good Morning OH Family!

Today is hubby's birthday. We are going to wait until Sunday to celebrate when we can get all the kiddos together. Layla is being dedicated Sunday at church will come back to the house for lunch and little party. Sounds silly,but kinda bummed out that Michael Jackson's death is over shadowing Farrah's. He was an amazing talent,but she was also an icon. Oh well, least of my worries. Going to go run errands this morning before it gets too hot. Hope everyone stays cool and hydrated. BTW so proud of Summer she has gone from a size 18 last year to a 14.She has been raiding my closet and was able to wear a pair of jeans that I have that are 14's. Prayers for Bryan for continued healing, and for our Liz and Que that they get well sooon.
