RNY patient, 18 months out.  Can I take Dramamine for vertigo?  A little dizzy right now.

yes, Dramimine is OK for post ops to take.  Increase fluids though, cause it does cause fluid retention.

 Georgie, if you're experiencing vertigo, you need to have a doc check that out, a.s.a.p., and not try to fight it by taking a seasickness drug ..       It could be something serious ..      Please get to a doc and let us know what they find out ..

If you are having dizziness I don't think dramamine will help.  I would call a doc or a pharmacy,  Your may have fluid on your ears.  That is what usually caused mine.  Once allegra was prescribed the dizziness came much less often.  I would not take anything without making that call.
